It's good you held the dose since he's starting lower. Test at +1 and +2 and feed LC.
How long till +1? 30 mins?
 
+2 166 I gave him a tablespoon of Purina DM mixed with raw at +1 and he scarfed it down. He’s feeling good, being bratty and had the zoomies!

I wanted to ask, when do I know it’s the right time to step in with a bit of low carb instead of just his regular raw?
My plan this morning before we spoke was to just feed his regular meal, I probably would have given him LC if I checked at +2/+3 and he had gone down from his AMPS but with he numbers rising a touch this morning I think I would have held off.
This is the last bit I still find confusing

Do you mean a bit of MC or HC intead of the raw?

Did you not feed him his reguar food at +1 and +2?
 
Ok I think I may have misunderstood you earlier.
He usually only gets raw (which is basically no carb, maybe 1%)
I think when you said LC you meant his usual meal?
I thought you meant add a bit of LC to his usual meal so I added a half a tablespoon of Purina DM to half a tablespoon of raw.
Sorry for the confusion but I’m glad I asked
Going forward LC is just his regular food nothing fancy?
