Tiger is bouncing from blue I guess???? This IS a guessing game, right?! He seems to feel pretty good in the morning and as the day goes on he gets more tired.

Started Zobaline this morning-hope it helps!

We are all getting used to having a small WILD thing in the family-that's going pretty well. Less hissing and more nose-to-nose contact.

I was hoping not to have to-but we may need to increase tonight or tomorrow...

Here's Ray with a "Tiger by the tail"...

Hi Kathy You can also get this , does Tiger have neuropathy

https://www.vitacost.com/vitacost-vitamin-b-12-methylcobalamin-5000-mcg-60-capsules-5
Alot of members use this , I use it myself you can buy it on line from Vitacost
Vitamin B-12 Methylcobalamin -- 5000 mcg - 100 Capsules
It's 14.49 but out of stock , see what I wrote at the end
Same as Zobaline , but the Zobaline is so expensive as you know
This is the same thing
The only difference is the Zobaline has 200 mcgs of folic acid
So I buy the folic acid at the supermarket and crush it up and add it to the B-12
If you can't find the 200 mcg get the 400 mcg and cut it in half
The Vitacost brand is a capsule so just open it and pour the powder on the wet food
Has no taste, no need to crush it up
The Zobaline is 33.99 for 60 pills, too expensive
I saw a big improvement I'd say 3 months, could be sooner. One capsule a day.

Vitamin B-12 Methylcobalamin -- 5000 mcg - 100 Capsules

I see they are out stock for the 100 capsules 14.49
Go to the drop down you will see 60 capsules for 9.44 that's still a good price even if you buy 2 bottles.

Oh no! Does Tiger get annoyed with that? Before we left on our trip this morning I had our three kittens out and having free run of the house. They were really enjoying the big cats but received differing reactions. One sweet cat (Marcus) licked them all over. Oliver played with them and generally tolerated their hijinx! Others were not so impressed! They decided to go into a bedroom to get away. But the kittens had the time of their lives! It was fun to watch and listen to the sounds of running kittens!

Thank you so much Diane!!! I have been opening capsules and sprinkling on each dish. I like the once a day of zobaline, but I may explore some of your options! I also have injectable cyano but that's not what I wanted-the vet didn't get the message right!

How do you have so many cats!? DH said he is so glad you do!
Tiger isn't that thrilled with her being close but he is getting more used to the idea every day-as is Campa.
Yes there is nothing else that even comes close to a kitten!!!

I have used cyano for injection or adding to sub-q fluids and have used Zobaline as an oral supplement.

If you want other B12 options, I picked these up from Amazon:

Nutricost Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) 2000mcg, 240 Capsules - Vegetarian Caps, Non-GMO, Gluten Free B12 Supplement https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IQB2UYS/?tag=felinediabetesfdmb-20

I mix the contents of the capsule into the first meal of the day.

Thank you Alex! That is exactly the one I have been using but only a little at a time because I didn't want to spoil his food. I think I am the one who "hipped" you to it lol!. 2,000 mcg is 2 mg. Zobaline is 3mg + folic acid.

Just realized you've held this dose 7 days!!! You have been distracting us with photos of Ray! :p
I would increase every 3 days, Kathy. We will worry about how to take reductions once the effect of the steroid wears off.

Are you done with the Animax? Dose #20?

I have been a little distracted by Ray too!!
It seems like so much insulin! It makes me nervous to give him so much! I need courage-will work it up for tomorrow!
Done with Animax-stopped at dose 19, that was 3 days ago, how long does it take to wear off? I thought maybe he would come down without an increase-and he did start to-but then went back up!
I so appreciate your help!:bighug:

I think this also an ECID thing. Sharing the SS of Lisa who was on ear drops (Surolan) with steroids for 2 weeks (May 9 - 25) and started seeing green from May 30.

You don't want to keep Tiger in higher numbers for too long. A dose in itself is not too high. You are monitoring and like I said earlier, we can reduce by larger amounts if needed.

Wow Lisa is all over the map!!! So maybe 5 ish days for it to stop affecting BG.

You are welcome, the vitacost brand is once a day also :cat:
That is the exact thing I have been using lol! Just a little in each food dish. I may buy some folic acid. What I really wanted to try was injectable methyl but the vet gave me cyano :-(. DH and I have taken the vitacost one for quite awhile now too!
