Yesterday's HORRIBLE Condo:

Even though we are starting the day in red, I have decided to be ok with it as the starting red today is at least lower than both PS reds yesterday. Plus the fact that Skooter decided to jump up on me this morning and snuggle for a little bit, which made me feel a little better. And also because I really don't have a choice but to be ok with it.
He still has a little bit of his breakfast left (I fed him 1/2 of a 5.5 oz can of Nature's Variety Chicken) --- which he has now gone back to eating as I type this. I am going to give Skooter his dry food at +.75 when I leave for work. Tonight I shall be baking some chicken and trying that as Skooter's treat, I sure hope this works because I am not sure what else is left for treat ideas.
Hoping to have a decent day at work myself and perhaps finally feel a bit caught up before I have to start training our new person on Monday (training is about a 4-5 month process)...pretty intensive for the first few weeks and then as he learns new things we will have bursts of intensive. I sure hope that he is a quick study as that will make things A LOT easier for me.
I am going to start Skooter's all wet diet on Friday night when I am home. I know that it is too early to determine what I should be lowering Skooter's insulin dose to in order to "counteract" the all wet, and I will await direction from my fine friends here
My concern/question is for Monday....as it is the new person's first day we have a team lunch, so I will most likely not be able to come home during the day. I know that with the insulin it can take a few cycles to feel the effects, is that the same for when adding the all wet diet or should I have some idea how he will be doing on it by Sunday?
As for me, I am feeling a little bit better than I was last night, I am really really trying to be patient and trying to see the bounces/high numbers as a good thing as that means the insulin is actually working, even if it doesn't seem like it. I was able to get blood from his left ear again, I am not sure why that side gives me so much trouble and he seems to be more sensitive on that side, but at least it gives me options so I am not always butchering his right ear, which I think I might have permanently deformed.
