We decided to wait until Tuesday to do the pancreatic ultrasound. My friend contacted me last night as I was going to bed, needing to talk because she had just had a death in the family. Instead of going to sleep at 10:00, we talked until almost midnight, which I had to get up at 11:50 anyways to give Taz his last meal before midnight (due to sedation).
At 11:50, Taz was already below 100, so I monitored/tested him for another hour to make sure he didn't drop too much (not quite sure when he nadirs lately). I stayed up until 1am, until I couldn't stay awake anymore. I was supposed to get up at 5am this morning, so we could be at the emergency vet at 7am.
As I was going to sleep (again), I woke my husband up and told him to turn off his alarm because I wasn't going to be able to make any important decisions on less than 4 hours of sleep. I didn't really want to put Taz through more stress so close to his last appointment (Wednesday) anyway. We figure that he's had the lumps since January, 4 more days won't really make a big difference.
