Dearest Friends
This is a post I never hoped to make but Lucy’s son, Andrew, messaged me this morning that Lucy has passed away and asked that I let you all know.
She evidently developed an infection and went into atrial fibrillation. All efforts to revive her were unsuccessful. In addition to her most beloved Squallie, she joins her husband and mother. I know she and the boys were all so very thankful for all the prayers and the boys read your posts to her.
I have asked Andrew if he can let me know, when he’s able, of a charity so that any who wish to donate to in her memory can do so. I will keep you posted on that.
And, as before, if you wish to send a card to her boys, Andrew and James, please send me a PM and I’ll send their address.
Lastly, Andrew believes that she might have made arrangements for her Bengals but, if she hasn’t, I hope we can all pull together and help them find a home where they can go together unless the boys are able to keep them. I’ll also keep you posted on that.
Fly free, sweet Lucy......we will miss your sweet grace, your incredible kindness, your gentle spirit.

ETA: The boys have asked that for anyone who wishes to make a memorial donation in Lucy’s name, they believe she would prefer it be made to DCIN.
