Yesterday's Condo

Morning - just getting ready again, BRB. AMPS in, now food, BRB. OK- Lanky is enjoying FFtb 3%. I dropped the opened can on the kitchen floor & what a mess. Actually I kinda threw in the floor as it slipped out my hand as I was ripping the pop top off. What fun, kitties got to lick the floor. No green last night so dose stays at 8u, BRB as I get ready for that. Sorry for the choppiness this AM - I'm functioning on just a couple of hours sleep past 2 nights. Just got a ketone test in - negative. Anyway, Lanky is active this AM, ate well, is happy & chatty (had to chase his out of pantry as he likes to dig around in there looking for choice morsels of who knows what). So, a little nap for me now.

PS Need to be thinking of Friday-Saturday dose plan, etc. Pops & I have an overnighter planned (his birthday). Vet tech coming in to do Friday PMPS chores and Saturday AMPS chores. I hate not being here, first time since dx in March.

I hate when things like that happen...more work for the Bean!

Yes, we'll work on the game plan for your overnight. IMO it is best to wait and watch numbers and decide the day before going. It will only take a few minutes to assess and create the plan.

Yeah, what D said. These kitties are all rascals, and no matter what YOU plan, it's never matching to THEIR plan :roll:
For your plan, you can always have the general stuff put together but I am sure you have that already, then just before the overnighter, you will know about dose etc. Who knows? Lanky may decide on less insulin or more! I seriously think they read the posts in here sometimes.

Next time the food spills, all you have to do is point out the spots they missed! I bet he's looking around in the pantry thinking "What else you got in here?"

Very pretty amps this morning Lanky. Here's hoping you can better that one with some bloos later on.

Lookin' good! I'd drop that dose while you're gone, maybe 1u? Then just resume your prior dose when you get back. That way you can have a relaxing time away, don't feel guilty, he'll be just fine and he'll forgive you :mrgreen:

Given +5, Lanky may be on a nice slide to blue. But I have to be gone for +6 & will make an effort to be back by +8. I gave him his regular snack & left 2 more in auto feeder for +6 & +7. I think Lanky would like to go outside in search of another mouse, oh well. He'll have to stay in until I return.

Hopefully I can catch any green & am prepared with 18% food.

Make a deal with Lanky. Say if you give me some nice bloos, I'll let you go out mouse hunting but it must be a low carb mousie!

Don't know about the blues now...this is why I like to be home so much. I can get data & skip the guess work. I mishandled the auto feeder & it got stuck so Lanky could not take advantage of the additional snacks. The larger snack @ +5 was all he got. He is not demanding food at the moment so I set the boo-boo snacks aside for later. And, he did not go out is search of the low carb mousie either!

Stopping by to see how yo and Lanky are doing.
I know the feeling of wanting doses in place in advance but I learnt that it does
not always work.
You know you are in great hands here and you will be able to enjoy your time away.
