that's all...just wanted to let you all know I got a 90 something, an 87, then 67 for PS- which is also PK's peak value...

One of these days I will get a curve done- so many schedule changes right now I feel it would be a waste of precious strips to get inaccurate results. Also may be changing PK over to friskies with the rest of them, so the food change will likely throw a wrentch in things, too.

He got beef feast FF for breakfast and I don't know carb count on that compared to the Friskies canned I feed, but I remember buying it knowing it was one of the lowest.

So much going on with Gramma at hospital, there is little time for any else, but am treading water with PK, trying to keep up. The under 100 PS values are a happy accident to have right now!

* sigh of relief, albeit likely temporary.

Those are great numbers, Melissa. Are his cycles sort of random, or are they longer or shorter than normal? Just wondering what might be contributing to the lower PS numbers. Might be worth getting at least one +6 spot check in if you can. I agree that a curve isn't probably useful right now.

I think the FF Tender Beef is 4% carbs - a little lower than most Friskies flavors.

+4 ish was 317 :?

The boy just HAS to stay between 150 and 250 OR its plummet to skyrocket... no play with this guy-just black and white...ergh...

probably drop the dose a smidge.

the low PS/peaks are nice to see, but knowing he is pretty consistent with those 300 midcycle values, I just need to keep those PS/peaks a little higher so the curve isn't so steep.

That probably sounds nuts to some folks and that's okay.

In PK's 2 1/2 yrs as a diabetic, the two times he has acted most like a happy healthy cat is when he was OTJ for 6 months and when I started keeping him between 150 and 250 with smaller doses.

He is running higher and above renal, however his eyes are bright and clear, he is active and interactive ( bugging the old lady cats) his coat looks good and his weight is down.

When I get those low peaks and 350 mid cycles, his eyes are blood shot, third eyelids up, he is listless and his coat is flaky.

He's his own cat, what can I say?!

There's always one (or two) that refuse to read the memos and just do whatever they like! You know him and know when he is at his best - that's the most important thing.

Oh darn, I was excited when I read the title but then saw the +4. :( So then I went to look at your spreadsheet and you are of course forgiven because I know you have been super busy with your Gramma and work stuff. And I should talk, mine is way behind too and I don't have any excuses!
