Good morning everyone,
Angie had a visit to her new vet this morning. Angie was pretty angry about being there but I thought the vet was great. She is supportive of home testing and Angie's low carb wet diet and might be checking out FDMB soon - she said that FDMB sounds like a "valuable resource".
Angie has an URI and has been proscribed doxycycline as a paste - with a dose morning and night for 10 days. It has another year left before it expires. Other than the issues with out of date doxyclyline, has anybody had any troubles with it?
We also talked about arthritis injections as these seemed to help Angie in the past. The vet usually recommends synovan. Does anyone know if this could affect blood sugar for some reason?
We shot even later today as Angie wasn't interested in having her ear jabbed. I realised that the uncooperative trend is only on her amps shots. I tried giving Angie her breakfast immediately before testing and it worked a charm. I had a purry kitty on my lap again. I can understand - I don't like doing unpleasant things before breakfast either.
Healing wishes to all sick kitties and worried humans,
Grace
