6/30 Taz, AMPS-171, +2-181

Today is day 6 on this dose. I held it a bit longer due to him almost earning a reduction 4 cycles ago and the stress of going to the vet yesterday. Although I think it has stressed me out more than it has him. With him going so low a couple of days ago (71 on AT2), when should I increase his dose next?

Since he saw green on 3.0 I would give it about 10 cycles and see if you see more. The earliest I would increase is 7/3 unless the bg goes up and stays up.

The vet just called with his blood work results. He said everything looked really good except the test that checks for pancreatitis was at 50. We're taking him to the emergency vet tomorrow to have an ultrasound done on the lump on his pancreas. I feel so bad. Even with him not acting like he's in pain, that test basically says that he is right?

They told me they don't know if he'll be put under for the ultrasound tomorrow, but now that the vet squeezed his belly yesterday and he'll have a wand pushing on his belly tomorrow, I'm scared of him being in discomfort.

Max was never sedated for an ultrasound. Unless fractious it should not be necessary. Ask your vet or ER how long to withhold food.

Max registered 50 at times and its almost positive it’s pancreatitis.

Thank you so much! I asked all kinds of questions and totally forgot about this one. I just called them back and they said no food after midnight, just in case. We're supposed to bring his insulin, food, and anything else he might need with us.
