Just received this morning's call from the hospital - gees, why is it that every minute waiting seems like an hour?!!! Tash is fine and gobbling up her food. But I have a few questions:
Last night they upped her Lantus dose to 2U (woah) she was in the 700's at pre shot. They are NOT giving her "R" just the Lantus right now.
***Could her numbers be so high because she is bouncing? --- Can't understand why she is going SO high on so much insulin? Or, is this vet stress - but could that cause such HIGH numbers?
+++going forward, if I need to periodically feed her LC DRY to get her to eat has anyone had any experience with the following:
YOUNG AGAIN
MERRICK BEFORE THE GRAIN #1CHICKEN DRY CAT FOOD
Yes, I KNOW that she SHOULD be eating wet but I want something in my back pocket in case she won't eat. Anyone know the carbs in these foods or have other suggestions? Tashie is a picky eater but she NEEDS to eat!
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
