Hi,
Sure didn't plan on being back so soon.. I was gone all day and rushing back home to remove Milo's
food bowl at 7:00PM and then Lantus PMPS at 9:00 Pm as usual.
Somehow i thought it was his time testing, food and Insulin... As soon as i gave him the shot i realized
my error! But feed his usual can of Low Cal FF Pate, and added another TSP of FF Grilled Chicken & Gravy.(12%)
He tested 261 at 7:00 PM ( **2 hrs early** PMPS)
Retested @ + 2 (9:00 PM) reading was 234. This is a first for me but i am thinking as long as i keep monitoring, testing every 2 hrs or even more frequently if his BG dips too low.( I am anticipating an earlier nadir this evening though.) And feeding small meals during
the night,we will be just fine.
I think his Nadirs are @+ 5-6 hrs..?
I also opened a new vial for this "early" PMPS dose and wondering if the Insulin will be more potent as it
is brand new?
I will be giving his AMPS dose at 7:00 AM on July 1st ~ Right?
*Curve was done on June 27th*
I appreciate everyone's expertise here on FDMB!
Thank's.
