He's not improving and I know he's ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon. My heart is already breaking in pieces...The most compassionate act we can do for our babies is to let them go and end their suffering, but it's the hardest thing to do...

I want to share something that happened yesterday between me and Wally. Wally was a purr baby, but he hadn't purred in about a week. As we were waiting in the exam room for the vet to come in, he suddenly started purring loudly as I was petting him. It was if he was comforting me and letting me know that I was doing the right thing and he was okay. He left me with this most indelible memory and I thank him for his compassion and grace.
