Vet visit this afternoon!!! Finally!
Diagnose and treat those persistent ear mites!
And then...GREEN CITY!:D

I just figured out that Tiger is claustrophobic! Duh. I've only known him 16 years...
When I close the bedroom door he gets scared/nervous. When I put him into a carrier it really freaks him out!
But we have to do it, need to do it, will do it, today!
OK pep talk is over:)

Nice start this morning! Good luck with the vet visit. I hope he is able to get to the root of the problem.
If he thinks it's a ear infection, make sure he doesn't give you drops with steroids in them!

We are home from the vet! We all survived the trauma! Tiger was so scared he peed in his carrier poor boy.

So...he does not have ear mites at this point! Probably an infection but she has no ointment without steroids and will have to research to find something.
They sent blood and urine to the lab-results next week.
The lump on his right side appears to be a Lipoma (fat-she aspirated it) so no worries.
He has some teeth resorption going on-waiting for lab results before we talk about that. Probably she will have to do a dental on him.
She will order some B12 injectible for us.
His heart and lungs sound good.
He is up on their scale from 12.4# to 14.1#-signs of healing she was happy with.

She thought 3.75u was a large dose but was happy with the job I am doing of monitoring him and said his SS shows it is working for him.
So far so good...we'll see what his lab results say next week.
Needless to say he was very happy to get home and have a snack and now we are going to cuddle on the bed for a little while:cat:

Which ear med has the vet prescribed? I think you may have no choice but to use the one with the steroid. How long does he need to be on it? We will just adjust his dose accordingly. But the infection needs to be treated.

So it's a combination of the ear infection and the FRL that's causing his higher numbers.
Glad to hear everything else is good. :)
We won't know about liver and kidneys until we get lab results early next week.
She said we need to give him ointment..I said no steroids right? She said oh right. She has to try and find one. So nothing until next week...

Thanks for checking in on us!!!
