Okay

We've been OTJ for 3 weeks now. Her numbers are scaring me a little though. She was 56 last night...resisted the temptation to test this am....tested at what would have been +6...and she was 56.

Should I be feeding her a mix of MC and LC?

Thanks in advance..

Hey this question comes up a lot!
No risk of hypo at all. EDIT TO ADD without insulin, ...In fact you're very lucky!!

Keep doing the small snacks either while your home or away, always leave some food around for her.
And you're fine with just LC.

Jezebel's doing great!!

Thank you so much. Now I can stop worrying. I have the auto feeder and Jez and her sister Sassy are really enjoying it. (Sassy is still not pleased with the diet choice...lol).

You gotta remember that there is absolutely no risk of hypoglycemia if you are not giving insulin. There are beans who have tested their OTJ kitties and found numbers in the 40s. It sounds like Jezebel's pancreas is working just fine. And, if you are feeding frequent, small meals, her pancreas is likely to be putting out insulin often and keeping her numbers in a very healthy range.

HI guys, Scrabble is almost 2 months otj and he typically runs in the low 60's and I get some 50's now and then. Nothing to worry about it!!!! Just keep up the same feeding schedule. My kitties eat 4 times a day!
