Yesterday

The weary travelers came stumbling home at daybreak. I didn't get a +7 or +8 cause they were so busy partying on the west coast! They said it was the BEST Summer Solstice party they had EVER been to in their whole lives!! Many thanks to Ann & Tess for the wonderful party! Shadow is none the worse for wear. His AMPS give me added hope. Do you suppose the bounce is done? (I would NOT say this out loud of course, but he only went up to 279 in this last bounce? :o Is that possible? He is doing so well!! SHHhhhhh don't breathe a word of it out loud!) DD commented on his soft fur and how is the sweetest kitty in the whole world!
DH agreed. Seriously folks, he is so innocent and just soooo sweet. His sister is a handful, but my Shadow is a darling! :lol:

So, the truth is that my alarms did NOT go off and I am SO angry with myself. His numbers last night were not recorded grr_red and will forever remain a mystery. Breffis was eaten and then there was a very healthy deposit in the LB...he gave himself a proper bath and now we are all ready for the day.

Hey Shad-0! Rumor has it that the kitty seen parasailing over the treetops last night was YOU!! Wow, what fun that must have been! Great party, huh? And you win the AMPS this morning. (But I've dropped to green already and my mamabean is keeping an eye on me.) Meet me later in a green surf. OK?

Very nice start for today! And don't worry about the numbers that shall remain a mystery, I had lots and lots of those because... well, just because.

Did I mention how much I HATED to test at first? A bad meter can really make things hard and I had no idea that there were better meters available until about a month later. My first meter needed a huge vampire-sized drop of blood and I wasted so many test strips and tears of frustration on that stupid meter. I pretended not to notice the time and 'forgot' to test between AM and PM shots. I always managed the preshots, but that was all I could handle. My family had to leave the kitchen while I tested and everything had to be calm and quiet.... when I was done I collapsed in relief. So funny now to think of those days!

Any hoo..... little bounce for so soft Shadow. Me likey! Hope you have a really good day today!

Hope Shadow has a really great day surfing the good waves! ;-) Meadow says that soltice party sounds like it was a ton of fun. She can be quite the party animal at times. :-D

Great day so far for Shadow! I saw on Stu's condo that Shadow was wondering if he should dive down to meet Stu in the 40s. Shadow, NO! Just surf the 70s today, ok? After all, you had so much fun at the party last night, wouldn't it be nice to have a day off from so many pokes? You could just rest and be sweet and innocent and get lots of loving.

I gave him a snack at +3...I thought it would keep him surfing the nice greens. You know, no matter what I do it seems that HE will do what he wants to do.
Speaking of which, WHAT is this about para-sailing? Strange that he didn't mention it to his dear Mother!
He might be quiet and sweet, but he does have that adventurous side to him...THAT Shadow! :lol:
Hope you got the sunshine I sent yesterday to you Monique....it should last a full week but maybe it wasn't enough?

Man, Carolyn, I could have written this! It's crazy to remember that now, but I couldn't imagine doing it for the rest of Buzz's life back then. I was a mess, she was a mess, it wasn't pretty. I totally hear you. So glad things are easier now.

It didn't arrive yet...... :roll: They had forcasted it but there must have been a postal strike. I'm tracking it and it should be here tommorrow. Today was cloudy and cold (11°C) Funny the news has been really quite this year no Global Warming hype ohmygod_smile Do they think we forgot they PROMISED warmer weather? Germany is having trouble selling thier alternative engery schemes to the people here right now. 6 months in a row with below average temps! That fancy solar panel on the roof is useless and we are paying the power company anyway, CLIMATEGATE 2010!

So sorry you had to go through this too. At the time I thought I was the ONLY one having trouble. I didn't understand HOW everyone made it sound so easy... and my kitty was super patient and gentle with me. I was embarrassed that I couldn't test easily so I didn't admit it at the time. If only I had... someone could have told me I was using a meter that needed too much blood. You are so right about not being able to imagine doing it for the rest of Buzz's life. That thought made me depressed too. I felt like a failure. Of course now it is so easy that I can show-off to family and friends how I can test, hee, hee! :lol:

Well, LC at +3 and +4...still he dropped....so he is now feasting on some HC gravy and temptations.
No need to go lower. As a matter of fact....I don't want him to go lower. I am trying so hard to keep to the 3 <50 rule and he drops and gets an automatic dosecrease. :YMSIGH: THIS one held for sure...but still. I am doing my best to keep him surfing but he insisted on diving with his buddy Stu....

+5.15=63 whew! Yay Shadow!

OK Shadow that is low enough. Diving is highly over rated. Surfing is much better.

Shadow had a very nice day today....hope the night will be nice as well. He had a nice dinner. Thunder clouds on the other side of the building tonight....along the beach. i saw lightning and am just waiting for the thunder to start. Poor Shadow. We will watch tv together and I will make sure he feels safe.
Raja her had dinner on the terrace and I will bring her in if it rains....altho she doesn't ever think that is necessary as long as there is an overhang. She is such a fanatic about being out there! :lol:
 
Hey Shad-0! You win the PMPS lower number! Yeah, we did have a good dive today. I'd be happier tomorrrow if we just surfed--in GREEN if we can! See you then. Don't be afraid of the thunderstorm. You've got your mamabean right there.

pretty nice day for Shadow today, Pat! He's got that bounce going on, but I'm sure that will clear quickly.

That must have been some party last night. Spot was more than content to stay inside all day, until this evening. I heard his special seasoning was a hit and he's saying something about selling it as a side thing to keep him busy. And Shadow was doing what!!!!! Oh, mercy, wish someone had a camera!!!
