Boingy boing. He's pretty much given up on using the litter boxes I swapped out pee pads 3 times last night. I put extras down this morning.

Vet is in 4 days this week. He has a bunch of new vet interns starting this week. Tentative plan is to do blood work this week and mess with the bandage on the hock. Leroy doesn't like me messing with his leg too much now and I don't have extra hands.

Sorry about all the pee pads, but at least he uses them. We need to be thankful for that

Can I ask (if you feel like talking about it of course, I'm sure you've already mentioned it but I wasn't here then), what happened to Leroy's leg that it has to be bandaged?

Leroy has an ongoing chronic wound issue with his hocks. It's a combo of diabetic skin issues (like Human diabetics) and the hocks just being a pressure point and always flexing. The left hock is fixed and has been ok since surgery but the right one is an ongoing issue despite surgery.

Well he came back down. And left three wet spots and a pile of poop on pee pads He hasn't used the lower litter box in a few days now. I haven't changed anything with it Civvie doesn't use that box, maybe because it has World's Best litter in it instead of Scoop Away.

I'm glad he's at least using the pee pads! Maybe he likes going to the bathroom in a particular location? I ended up having to move a litter box around when Moonie came, because for whatever reason, she really wanted to pee in a specific spot. So now there is a giant litter box right in front of the toilet in the guest bedroom

I'm not sure why the floor in front of the bedroom and laundry closet is appealing as a bathroom spot I can't move the litter box in the bathroom any closer to the door and still be able to get in. At least he stopped using the kitchen sink (lined with pee pads) but only because he can't jump very far anymore.

I guess the reason is… cat

I hope he changes his mind and decides that he’d like to use the litter box now that it’s novel again perhaps!
