I'm going to skip this morning's "fuds +3" follow up pokey test since Trix is already in the normal range, so no Mr Greenie so far today.
After last night's gelcap fiasco, she was feeling VERY feisty about it this morning. Ugh! Somehow I did manage to get it in on the fourth try, but I don't know how I did it...she was not cooperative at all - clenching her mouth shut, not leaning back, batting my hand away when I actually did get her mouth open. I can't say I blame her...last night was a disaster and I'm sure she's gunshy, but these pills are not optional and since she already won't touch Pill Pockets anymore I cannot lose gelcaps, too! Hopefully she'll quickly forget how rough last night's pilling was.
Aside from that, we're just plugging away at our "new normal". Her appy does seem pretty solid these days, even though I have to present the plate and supplement her calories with a few syringe feedings. Her body seems solid, too, so we're OK with doing whatever we have to do.
Petey's appy is still out of whack so I'm edgy over that. He did eat OK yesterday....not great, but OK. And there was a hairball waiting for me when I got home from work. But I think/hope there must be more hairball to go. I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of him "barfing", but it was just a little white foam. Can I tell you how much I hate white foamy spit up???? Anyway...no further hairball, but that may be because I "interrupted" him last night. The foam is usually also a precursor to a hairball. This isn't unusual for him, but at the same time, until it is resolved, I will be nervous....
One week till staycation!!!!
Sending out tons of prayers for Sasha and Tricia....heal up quickly, little one!!!!!
Have a great day, LL!
