Howdy everyone...

Alex is fine in case anyone was wondering. Okay, maybe not fine, but he's okay. We've just been having trouble figuring out why his numbers have been squirrely and i just can't stand looking at the high numbers so it's sometimes just easier to not post when I'm aggravated. And the 'K' word..blah blah blah. WHENEVER Alex is over 300 for several hours I have to deal with some degree of that and it's not fun and it's tiring tying to figure out what's causing it when there could be so many reasons...so i just "keep on truckin'". Plus I'm still temping for my vet but this is the last week...will have more time to post when that's over.

So needless to say, Alex has been like a ping pong ball and hasn't felt great but hasn't felt awful. He has his appetite (Thank God) but I'd say he's been wearing his snarky pants as often as his purry pants this past week. We just got an order of Grandmas Lucy's freeze dried tuna and roasted chicken in the mail on Saturday so him and Jackson are pretty happy about that and everything else is status quo.

If anyone would like to send a few vines for lower numbers for him I'd really appreciate it..I've already "feng shui-ed" his spreadsheet; took off all of the heavy gothic grays (I know I'm nuts) but maybe he needs help. This red is becoming blinding and the acetone smell returning, every time i think I have it beat, is starting to wear me down.... :-|

Enjoy the rest of your Monday everyone

Love,
Caryl, Alex & Jackson

Caryl,
Sorry Alex still isn't feeling better. Sending good thoughts your way!!

In answer to your question about Buddy, he is not an outside cat, and he shares 6 litter boxes with 6 other cats. I was able to catch him going pee, but its been a little harder to figure out if its him going poop or one of the other kitty's. Going to try and keep a close eye on him, just going to have to stalk him where ever he goes!!! I have him on 1/8 tsp (Purelax generic for Miralax) for right now to see what happens with that, may have to up it??
Thanks for asking.

Hope Alex starts too feel better soon.

Kitty said to tell Alex that there are about a gazillion more of these on the way. He also says, he wishes he had good advice for Alex, but at least he should stay away from the ice cream left for mom in an earlier condo.

Hey Caryl,
You need to bump 3.25u tonight I think.. I am not liking this at all .. I'd love to wait Alex's normal 8 doses but I don't think we can afford to. Get your HC ready.. when he gets better, I think you might find your dose about 1u too high LOL We'll deal with that when it happens but for now, you need to attack those 'tones.. All joking aside, Alex does not handle R well at all so our goal is to get the basal dose up high enough that you won't need to use it anymore. Until then, use R as you need to, you're doing great!

Scritches to A & J,

(((((Caryl))))) I'm sorry Alex is still kinda down in the dumps and throwing you some acetone breath. Sending lots of feel better vines and better number vines. Good luck with the increase that Carolyn suggested. I hope it kicks the D*A in the BUTT!!! (((((hugs to you Alex and Jackson))))

Lucky me..although Alex uses all 3 pans in the house, Jackson only uses one. So if I need to be really sure if Alex goes, it's a pretty easy process of elimination(no pun intended). doesn't work the other way around though..except for pee pee of course cause Jackson's has no glucose. What a delightful conversation    and DON'T we have fun in our spare time!!!!!
