I was a little concerned about shooting a falling number, so I gave him a skinny 1U as compared to his usual almost fat 1U. I also shot the scruff thinking that area would also help slow absorption. He had eaten right on time, did good. Went back for seconds. We went to my room and he seemed ok, then on the way out about two minutes later he sat down and sort of started leaning way over to one side. I thought he was fainting, then I thought I had caught his tail in the door and grabbed him but he jumped up and took off down the hall, ran down a few steps toward the basement then stopped and looked at me like he couldn't figure out why I had grabbed him.
He seems ok now, but I wonder if shooting his scruff I hit a nerve or something? I'm still really shook up over this and wonder if anyone has had a similar reaction? I don't usually shoot the scruff, but his sides. Did I hurt my kitty boy somehow?
I'll be keeping a close eye on the numbers tonight.

Yesterday
Morning Beans!
Happy father's day too.
The Purr man seems to have gotten his appetite back. Yesterday mornning he nibbled and was nibbly here and there all day. That's good but with his CRF I wondered if it was affecting his appetite now that his numbers are coming down. Well last night he decided he was feeling hungry and had a nice good feed, about 2 0z LC FF and a little raw at +1, then at+3 he had a really good feed again of LC FF. It was interesting to see how it stabilized his numbers through the night, no big drops. So that will be good to know when we get into the lower numbers. (marked in notes)
This morning he did the same. Nibbled at shot time, fifteen minutes later came back and had about 3 oz. FF LC. He is still on f1U ( not quite Fat so I put a small f for fat. Does that make sense?)
