Good Sunday Morning, Everyone,

We had severe thunderstorms yesterday evening and night and we had to turn off our computers. Rusty was good in the storms, however. This morning it looks like we are about to get some more "weather". Rusty had a good night and this morning a good test and shot. Breakfast was eagerly consumed, as was his "lung treat". He's in his basket now, enjoying the relative coolness (in the 60s this morning, but still very humid).

Our trip to the Farmers' Market yesterday was great. We got lovely greens and veggies in this first day of our half share in the CSA: came home with our "own" wooden crate filled with a week's supply of field greens, arugula, spinach, broccoli rabe, green onions with their flowers, over-wintered sweet carrots, chives, kale. We ate a wonderful salad last night!

Today is a catch-up day on paperwork and chores. Tomorrow we paddle (hopefully this weather will be "outta here" by tomorrow) and on Tuesday we are going down to Camp Stu for a couple of days. Our friends hooked up the water (we get our water out of the lake) and camp is ready for the season. Rusty is looking forward to the rodents.

Everyone have a good day,

Ella & Rusty

Hi Ella. Nice AMPS for Rusty this morning. Hope he decides to visit the Lagoon for a nice surf.

It sounds like you are going to have some really fresh delicious veggies this year.

Enjoy your paddle tomorrow and time at Camp Stu.

Have a great day Ella.

WOOT!!! Excellent day to be back in the Lagoon. Well done Rusty!

Sounds like the farmer's market was fun. The garlic scapes are starting to form here. :-D :-D Do you do chive flowers in the salad? We've got a ton of those too.

Nice that Camp Stu is about to open. Last days of freedom you little rodents. ;-)

Hi Ella

Nice day for Rusty..woohoo!

What a fantastic way to get fresh veggies. Yum! I keep forgetting to look for leeks...is it time yet?
The leaves look the same as the Lily of the Valley, and they both grow in the same area at the edge of the woods. I always have to squish a leaf, to see if it smells like onion. Do you use them? Ham and leeks is a big thing around this area.
I've never cooked with them.

It was dark and gloomy a good part of today, leftover from last night's storms. Sun is out now.
I hope the weather is good for your paddle tomorrow.

Hey Rusty....good hunting at Camp Stu. :-D

What a fantastic day for Rusty...yay!

We haven't hit the local farm markets just yet, but I can't wait. We used to belong to the local CSA, which was amazing, but sadly, after I opened my store, we just got too busy to go to the farm. With our CSA, half the produce was pre-picked, but we also had to go into the fields to pick the rest. One week, we came home with - no exaggeration - 30lbs of tomatoes. YUM! I do miss it...the time just isn't there anymore.

Have a lovely evening, and great paddle day tomorrow!!

HI Ella - sorry for eh late post...

OMG on your weather - it sounds rather intense, I love good storms, but wow on yours. I will hope that it is gone by the time your paddle day arrives. It is nice that Rusty isn't too bothered by the storms.

What a nice set of numbers for Rusty too - I so love green PS numbers. Surf well Rusty. it is nice to have you back at the lagoon.

AWESOME on the produce!!

I hope your day has been a good one.

Thanks for visiting, everyone. Rusty had a good day of numbers (despite the small bounce this evening). The LagoonMeister enjoyed being back at the lagoon.

Sending much sympathy to Caryl tonight; fly free, sweet Alex.

Great to see Rusty at the lagoon again! His menu for the party was wonderful!

Tobey spent the day making his own cimmamum cookies to bring to his favorite auntie!

The storms sound wonderful....it's so hot and dry here. And your farmers market haul....fabulous!
