Right so we are Fat 0 as per last nights dosecrease...and he is again 43 +2. Thank goodness for Siennes advice that I do a +2. Maybe he had been low from +2 yesterday and that's why I battled to get him to rise. I have just fed 1 TBS HC FF. He didn't want anymore than that but ate a little more of his usual low carb food as well. If the spelling goes wonky, he is swatting at the cursor on the laptop....even low we are purrfectly happy...no wait, we have now curled up on bean's lap.

Please help me, what do I do for tomorrow's dose. I'm going to go and measure drops right now as per Tess's advice, but how big is a drop? Do you think his shed is just really full? Help help.... nailbite_smile

EDIT: I have just measured the fat 0 in drops, it's one drop no more.

I can't give dose advice, but just make all the drops the same. Actual size doesn't matter. Consistency does.

Phew...looks like I caught the drop on time. Any takers on what my dose should be tmr???
 
You are feeding Max right? 43 isn't a reason to lose hair, but surfing the 50s is a touch nice on the bean. :-D

hmmm, I'm thinking you should do a pancreas test tomorrow.

"-test as you would every am and pm.
"-feed multiple small meals a day.
"-don't worry about shooting (unless you're told otherwise) until over 150 and a feed test fails.
"*feed test* - if a regular am or pm test is over 150 then feed a small meal and recheck in 3-4 hours. If number goes down = pass

But check to see what others think before you get your syringe out in the AM. What do you think?
 
I would love to do a feed test, but I'm not here during the day to do multiple meals and to test at 3 -4 hours! Also can't find timed feeders anywhere in this place, will have to order from the States and that could take 2 - 4 weeks.

Can I do the following:

If his number is under 150 at AMPS , I won't shoot and I'll feed as normal,he doesn't eat his breffies all in one go, leaves some for brunch and lunch. Then at PMPS I can do the same but then check the BG and control the small meal more.

Would that be okay
PS: His +4 just came in at 70 after two loads of HC!!, he'll surf green now until the AMPS for sure

Here is the good news - he CANNOT hypo on a FAT 0!

So, sounds like tomorrow, you leave the lantus in the fridge, test and feed the cat, pat him on head, go to work, come home repeat.......and oh boy could this be another trial kitty?

Well seems like Max approves....he is lying next to bean on the bed very intently reading what I type...time to ni ni here. Bean is exhausted!
 
Wow is max looking terrific.
Oh another idea you can use for tomorrow is just wave the insulin over him. :lol: :lol:

It's too bad you are having a problem with getting a timed feeder over there.
It was so helpful for me in getting Max's meals spread out but so far your Max is doing great.
So happy for you guys.
