YESTERDAY: AMPS/313, +2.5/297, +6/302, +10.5/288, PMPS/277 (DOSECREASE TO 1.5), +2.5/265, +4/236, +5/240, +6/226, +7/218, +8/195
TODAY: AMPS/106, +1.5/84, +2/80 +2.5/74, +3/59, +3.5/65, +4/64, +5/56, +5.5/83, +6/85, +11/294, PMPS/342, +2/342

Good afternoon LL!

Well, it looks like last night's dosecrease was just what Eddie needed to kick his little behind into gear! He had a really long slow slide down last night. I finally stopped testing when he hit blue - mostly so I could have some inkling of what he might have in store for this morning. His AMPS was 106, which is exactly what I was hoping for - a very late nadir or dropping blue pre-shot. He didn't have a food spike, but I was diligent with the carbs starting at +1.5 - using a combo of medium carbs in the 12-16% range to keep him from dropping as the next dose onset, and 10% for surfing. Good day to call in sick to tbp for the morning, I guess. :? At +6. he's surfing nicely in the greens still. I have my fingers and toes and everything else crossed that he continues to surf. The auto feeders are set to go off at +7, +8, and +9 with small amounts of 10%. I was actually going to put a lower carb in the feeders for the latter part of the cycle, but I accidentally put in 10% and didn't want to scoop it back out of three feeders. It might be overkill, but we'll see when DH gets home and gets a test around +10.5.

I'm thinking the great momentum this morning has three things contributing to it - the dosecrease, a bounce clearing slide with a late nadir, and also as Marje pointed out about Eddie gaining momentum on dose 8 or 9, this would have been the 8th cycle had I kept the 1.25 units so maybe Eddie would have moved this morning even without a dosecrease. Regardless, I like it!

Yes!! It's working. Now you can go to work without any uneasiness too!!

i would hesitate to give 10% that late in the cycle, jen. he's sure looking great today! sometimes feeding later can cause their BGs to increase, and he's perfect right now if he'd just keep surfing. i think i'd withhold any food. he's going to be mad at Auntie Julie for suggesting he starve until preshot, but i'd hate to mess with his excellent streak today!

if you've already left for work and he does get the food, just notice and take note of how his BGs responded to it. I see you're great about notes on his ss - kudos! it really helps to figure things out, doesn't it?!

he's having a perfect cycle today! woot!

Hi Carla and Elise! Thanks for checking in with Eddie today!

Hi Julie - yeah hindsight being what it is on the auto feeders. Oops! My intention was to put some LC in the range of 4% in the feeders, but in my rush to try to get out the door, I put in 10% by mistake. Ah well. Data gathering...I'm also starting to wonder if the higher carbs that I'm using to steer in the front part of the cycle are holding on long enough to affect his BG several hours later at the end of the cycle? DH just texted me Eddie's +11 of 294 so we're heading into a bounce. I can't really complain too much since he had a great run today. Hopefully the bounce will be short lived.

Looks like bounce is clearing. Eddie's bounces are clearing quickly. Our guys are still in the same pattern.

Hi Jen. I guess you have been too busy to start a new condo. Just wanted to say I keep checking to see how Eddie is doing and hope the bouncing stops soon.
