Pretty much same story, different day here. Trix's appy is OK and her first round of breffis was actually pretty decent. She has reached the point where she is taking that first round without me holding the plate, although she generally doesn't CPC it unless I get involved. So I guess that's another kitten step.
Naturally, I want her to eat more on her own, and today is one of those days where I'm a bit bothered by her appy issues - not so much stressed because I know I can get the calories into her with the syringe, but just "bothered" - a bit down about it, I guess. But, we'll continue to keep plugging away. She's a bit feisty with the syringe feedings sometimes, but she ultimately gets through them, so at least I have comfort in knowing she's getting enough calories. At the moment, I'm still holding steady with 2 syringes in the mornings, and 1-2 syringes in the evenings, depending on her appy and how much she's willing to eat on her own.
(Actually, she just ate a pretty good follow-up round for me.)
This is one of my frustrations, though...I wish I had more time to focus on trying to transition her to "normal" eating habits again. Then again, though, I guess that is really up to her more than anything...it may not make a difference if I even had all the time in the world. But, I hate having to rush her food situation in the mornings since I have to go to work most days.
Fortunately, I'm off tomorrow, and better than that - summer staycation is less than 2 weeks away now. I am definitely needing a break. I don't get nearly enough sleep these days since I try to squeeze as many feedings as possible into the evenings, and I have been battling a wicked round of mouth ulcers for a couple weeks now. Ulcers are nothing new to me (and they seem genetic, since my Dad and brothers also suffer), but I am really, really ready for this round to come to an end. When they drag on like this, it starts taking a big toll....
With that...time to squeeze in that morning workout. I really like to push my like, timewise, these days  ...
Have a great day, LL!
