When low you want to stall, do not feed, and check again in 20-30 minutes to see if on the rise and how much higher. It is AMBG when you don’t shoot.
 
Not good. I can’t get an appointment with an internal medicine vet before 6.30. My only choices are take her to the ER for them to keep running vitals until they decide to get moved to internal medicine for a day or wait for my vet Monday. She won’t eat. I’m syringing but I don’t know how much sticks as diarrhea follows 2-4 hours later.

I would have skipped today too btw. I think Brat is likely having a lower nadir than you thought. Get a before bed test and if dropping I would set an alarm for later at night. There’s not enough testing to know how low she goes. I think you should follow SLGS for now and reduce back to .25 unless it’s possible to test more. I know that’s been hard so far.

i hopefully can start tonight. I hope I’m rested enough now. It’s been a busy couple of days.
Did they give you treatment for the diarrhea? If she’s on antibiotics it might make the diarrhea worse. Sounds like she needs fluids. I’m so sorry.
 
Normal fecal. We are running a fecal pcr today so nothing for diarrhea has been given. All I have is a probiotic and ondansetron and an inappetent cat who I have to syringe and then diarrhea follows.

so the food is just going through her…poor baby. I hope they get you some answers soon.
 
I managed to get an appointment with the IM that did the ultrasound on Saturday. He had a cancellation tomorrow morning at 10. There’s a chance that the probiotics are starting to work but still won’t eat. It could also be Mocha’s stool although softer than hers normally is.

Brat went to the vet and has a fever. Her white blood count is still high. They sent blood out for the fructosamine test.
She'll go back on antibiotics. I also had her give a shot for arthritis. She's lost a few ounces. It was not a great appt.
as we discussed quality of life issues. It's so hard. Just the thought of it makes me cry.
 
Patty, I worry that Brat is not getting everything she needs with eating only chicken and taurine. There must be a supplement packet that could be added to her food. I’d ask.

No, I'm feeding her Smalls. The vet just suggested the chicken with taurine which I have made. She mostly eats the Smalls.
She is 312 pmps and I gave her .5 tonight. I'll recheck in a few hours before I go to bed. You think I should get up and get another reading?
 
Oh good you are feeding Smalls. I misunderstood. She’s bouncing so unless your before bed test is a lot lower than the pmps no need for an alarm tonight. Is she eating well?

She has eaten better. She digs the freeze dried minnows and shrimp. I'm putting some bone broth on the Smalls and it's helping. Working on it.

Any changes with Chai?
 
Good she’s eating.

Chai has gone 3 1/2 hours since I syringed a little baby food without using the box I gave her more ondansetron about 30 ago and will see if she will eat on her own soon. I’m about to feed Mocha and she’s not in the kitchen which is not a good sign.
 
Yep. Using mirataz. She would not even drink tuna water. No to baby food and AD. Just put down some gastrointestinal food they gave me. No go. Turned down zd but I dint blame her.

That's not good. I'm sure you've tried everything you can think of. So strange but hopefully answers soon. Is she drinking water?

Brat's down to 167 +4 which is a pretty good drop. What do you think?
 
Yikes. She’s amps 61 so will retest after 30 minutes. She’s not happy being left out of breakfast with her bestie. I doubt I will be giving any insulin this morning due to the low number.
 
Start putting the pmps in the subject bar. I just scrolled down to your last one and saw the 30 minutes later 61. Was on my phone.

She just ate a little chicken breast. Maybe she will start to eat now.
