Hi Everyone,
This morning I went to Plattsburgh to buy food and treats for Rusty. There were 4 roadblocks because of the escaped prisoners from Dannamora. Police were doing searches of all the car trunks, but since my car is an SUV and I had the seatbacks down (because of the canoeing stuff we carry), they could see inside easily and I got to proceed right away.
Rusty had a pretty good AMPS, but his +5.5 is about the same. Another unusual cycle seems to be unfolding.
Edward and I were just working on the "lawns". I decided to mow the tall grass next to our barn, but spied a tiny fawn lying in the grass, so immediately backed away and turned off the motor and left the area. Mama Deer has stashed her baby in a "safe" place so that she could go out and forage. The baby raised it's head and looked around, but soon put it's head down in the grass again. I hope nothing will disturb it. It is really tiny: about half the size of Rusty. We are thrilled that one of "our" deer family has had her fawn and apparently trusts us not to disturb it. We are keeping our distance.
bbl, going out for a short bike ride.
