WCR he is doing very despite our terrible numbers that we cannot get out of   dosecrease dose not seem to be helping as of yet and yes Mama Bean is very frustrated at this point all P's in place I still need to get a ketone urine check since he only goes once a day harder to do but still working on that one

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358

Good luck trying to catch the ketone test Lisa....come on Do Lou...get out of those pinks already ohmygod_smile

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358

Yo Do Lou, Wrong way! Now that we're dose buddies, you've got to get with the program. Bring 'em down, man!

Stu

Hi Lisa, It's been my experience that a dose change takes a few days to kick in. Hang in there!! Do Lou will come back down. This is just a temporary bump in the road.

Don't give up yet, I've noticed for Tess it usually take 5 days not cycles for hew to get over the NDW. Those last 2 tests were really pretty flat too, not a rise when you consider meter variance. Breathe, think of it as a chance to get out of the house. ;-)

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358+6.5 365

Any chance something else is going on?
I think I'd bump the dose up 0.25u no later than tomorrow morning. You might not want to do it tonight cause of sleep reasons.

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358+6.5 365

It sure can be discouraging but Do Lou has all the P's in place and is feeling good - so take a deep breath and don't be hanging out at the LB all day!

Pedro did not settle on on new dose for at least 5 cycles. Before I came to LL- I reacted too quickly to his lack of response to dose changes. Thanks to all the good help here, the wise ones found me and gave me the confidence to just let him settle on a dose and low and behold - here we are today.

yes I have noticed this as well and yeah I did think about this when we hiked on sat really not worrying since he has been like this but still would like to see better numbers but understand what you are saying also and it could just be NDW

I do not think so D but its in the back of my mind he acts like he feels too good to have any kind of infection going on but I have not ruled it out completely.

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358+6.5 365

I'm sorry you are feeling discouraged. I'm sure others have better advice as far as dosage, but I sure hope he leaves those pinks behind soon. Have you told him that yellow and blue are much more masculine? ;-)

Hang in there, Lisa and Do Lou.

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358+6.5 365

Do Lou - down with the numbers man! Your bean is freakin' out... you should see what I did to my bean yesterday. Bring 'em down, ok? besides - pink is a girl color: we dudes prefer blue and green... Your buddy - Mannie.

It is the same for us - takes a few days to settle a new dose. With Mannie we get even higher numbers for a few days, before I notice any change - sometimes as long as five. Understand all too well the discouragement - then I look at my guy, see how happy, content, playful he is, and wait for the magic juice to do its thing. So hang in there!

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358+6.5 365

Like I tell everyone, Moonie waits for the 6th cycle to come on down on a new dose!
Please Do Lou, We all want to see you nice & green!! Hugs & dont get discouraged Lisa!! ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hi Lisa and Do Lou,
You're getting a lot of good advice and experiences from others on how long it takes when a dose change. Hang in there, and it's a good sign Do Lou is feeling okay. Take care.

Just dropping in to say Hang in there Lisa and Do Lou. I hope the new dose kicks in soon and your frustration level is lessened. I am gla dto hear that Do Lou is acting happy, that is great!

Re: 6/1 Do Lou amps 281 +3 323+4 358+6.5 365+10 314

We have history of coming down the dose ladder but not much about going up. 1.75u was the last good dose -- it did toss some 20s but think 1.75u is going to do the trick. It won't take long from here to get back to the good numbers. Toss the frustrations out the window. You "might" have to ride through a low number but that's better than being pink, no?

pmps 303 went ahead with dosecrease tonight rather then in morning since I have to go out early so I thought tonight when I can spot check would be better D

Plan on incorporating feeding the curve with this dose. This bump up in dose should break the trend he's been on and then he'll need to go back down the dose ladder (not as fast this time). You can experiment with using food to head off any fast drops. I think the deal is we need to stay very close to what his body is doing. For instance, we might "feel" a low coming and want to sneak a drop off of the dose. No what I mean? I think he'll be at a fine line and any assistance we can give him will help, feed a little LC at +2 type of thing. I'd love to seem him ride in the blues for a tad but have a feeling this dose will have a break through and then we'll need to get in his back pocket and carefully take him back down.

Ok D I plan to be keeping a close watch tonight with every hour for a while to see if he does anything weird and will do as you said. I sure hope you are right about this breaking thru his barrier

The break might not happen this cycle maybe around cycle 3.
Sometimes, they have a response on the first cycle but number 3 is where I want to watch.
Oh Lisa, we can break this trend -- no question about that.

P.S. Patience (I always laugh when I write that ... telling someone to be patient by a not-too-patient sole is funny).

sorry to hear Do Lou is still in the pink this evening. Hope the new dose does the trick.

Don't let the increase get to you. This is most likely one of those times where you have to go up in order to come down.

Thanks Sienne I keep telling myself this and I know I am surely part to blame anyway for taking him down the way I did but the 2 days of 20s freaked me out so I am learning as I go and just hope we do not have to increase him a lot to get back to better numbers
