He had a gnarly take off last night but it turns out this cat is the most rad, totally awesome, surfinest surfin' cat you've ever seen. dancing_cat Last night went like this:
PMPS 90, waited one hour for a new PS of 100 then shot
+1... 99, +2 ....94, +4.... 91, +6.... 105,... AMPS 120

We had one scare at 3:30 (+6) when DH woke me up, "Melissa! Get up, Nay's not responding!" nailbite_smile I woke up in an instant and said, "I have the tester kit right here next to my pillow; run and get the karo..." and the kitty looked up from his sleepy spot at my feet and said, "Mrreow?"... He was just sleeping heavily! :roll:

How do y'all do this for any extended time, getting up all night to test the cat???

good question...my answer: I did it for Luna.
and I paid the price for irregular sleep. But it was all worth it.

Thats really great news from last night!
I read your blog a few weeks ago and am so thrilled with the travels you are taking!
I am (or was before my cat got ill) a climber and travelled a lot to feed my addiction. So, I have been enjoying your updates....zion....mmmmmm...crack climbing! :mrgreen:

My parents just bought a 5th wheel and are starting to travel. They have put 4 cats in that thing! :shock:

I hope your travels and adventures with Nay continue to be wonderful!

Nay certainly knows how to surf! I think a lot of FD kitties get woken up at odd hours just to make sure they are OK. I've gotten several annoyed looks from Tess.

Where is the link to your blog? I'd love to read it. We were going to go back to Utah this year to study the rock art, but w/ Tee's dx that is probably is out of the question. Unlike your brave kitties, Tess does not travel well.

Cool! I've tried climbing but decided that sport was not for me. I have a lot of friends who climb tho. I'm going to be hiking and enjoying the views. Your parents are going to have a great time! If they have a big rig and 4 cats that get along there's no reason not to bring the fur-kids; I've seen 5'ers bigger than my first apartment! :-D

Hi Ann, here is a link to my blog. Nay had a hard time learning to travel but he has adapted. He still won't use the box or eat much while we're moving. He has recently started to eat while driving only if I put his food on the dash. He loves to go out for a walk and explore when we are in a nice backwoods spot!

If you are at all interested in petroglyphs, Fremont Indian State Park is just a few miles east of you. Right on I-70.

From the looks of your numbers :mrgreen: I don't think you'll be doing this for too long.
I had one of those cat in deep sleep scares once -- it is scary!
My brother's newborn wouldn't wake up once and they rushed her to the hospital -- she was just in a deep sleep. :roll:

We're shooting low again tonight. PMPS was 94 and we went ahead and took the plunge. I picked up his bowl early today (3.5 hrs before shot time) because I was cleaning and then by the time I was done cleaning it was < 2 hr till shot time. I put out fresh FF immediately after shooting and he's eaten a quarter of the can now.

Just did a 2.5 and the BG is 57. I tried to give him HC food and he had a little bit. Lexi the civie cat, however, loved Nay's HC food. :roll: Anyway, any other suggestions? I know he will eat Temptations should I give him a couple to slow the drop? nailbite_smile
 
I would make sure he eats something, hc gravy will pull him up You still have a few hours before nadir so you want control the drop not let him hit bottom before you feed to avoid a big bounce.
