Tori had a good night. Her BG at 0230 (+6) was 190 and she ate well. Daniel had friends over and he said that she went up to her favourite of his male friends and asked for a tummy rub. The brazen hussy. I love it.

This morning her sugar was 320. She ate really well. In fact she pushed Rocky out of the way so she could get to the food bowl before him. It didn't matter of course that there are 3 bowls.

My plan is to continue with the Pepcid , Metacop and Buprenex BID for the next few days. Tomorrow she is due for the Mirtazepine as well. I will hold off on the fluids as long as she is eating well. I'll stick with the 1.25units for now and see how it goes. Sound like a good plan? What do you think?

It sounds like a good plan to me! I'm glad to hear that Tori is doing well and trying to seduce visitors.

BTW, what is metacop? I Googled it but didn't find anything that made sense.

I'm thinking Metocloprimide? I'm so happy she's home and doing well!

I'm so happy to hear that Tori is home. When she has an attack, she really has scary ones. Obviously Tori is a strong kitty and is on her way back to normal.

Re: 5/8 Tori -Home and doing well- Evening Update

She's spent a quiet day, sleeping a lot . Basically recovering from the trauma of the last few days. Her BGs have been 292 at +7 and 295 at PMPS. Not bad. Hopefully they will continue to improve. She's been eating really well and has been grooming a bit too. Of course she had to show the boys she's still the boss a couple of times. All they wanted to do was show her that they love her. I did catch her cuddling with Rocky when I got up this afternoon. Of course as soon as she saw me that was the end of that. That's my little diva. God how I love that kitty.

I wish I could stay home with her tonight but as usual I'm working. I'm doing a 7 night stretch right now and it's been kind of crazy. At least tonight I won't have to worry about my baby as much. Of course Daniel will be keeping a close eye on her. What I would do without him I don';t know.

Have a good night everybody. Kiss your babies for me and may they all dream in blues and greens.

glad she's home and doing well :)

re: fluids, unless you're sure the flare's over and completely gone, personally, i'd continue fluids for a few more days. fluids help flush out toxins from the misfiring pancreas, and promotes healing.
