Hi everybody. Sorry I haven't been around lately. There's been lots going on. Well it looks like Tori is having a CP flare. SHe was doing OK and even earned a slight dose decrease last week. Yesterday she ate a small breakfast and seemed OK but while I was oaut taking my granddaughter to Day Care and running some errands she vomited. Not that much but enough and she was hiding under the coffee table when I got home. There was also the fact that she pooped on the mat in my bedroom. (That seems to be her sure fired way of letting me know that she isn't feeling well.) So I started the routine we have when she starts to flare. I gave her Pepcid, Metacop and Buprenex and later on gave her some fluids. She's had no more vomiting and has eaten little bits for me.
Today I put her dose back up to the 1.25. She ate some breakfast and lunch. Not as much as she normally does - about half. I've continued to give her the Pepcid , Metacop and Buprenex q12h. I gave her 75cc of fluids as well at +6. I learned the hard way with Tori that if I give her insulin and fluids too close together she drops like a stone. Her sugars have ranged from 248 to 342. ( My spreadsheet is up to date.). She hasn't vomited at all. She remains lethargic. She comes out from under the coffee table every now and walks around and that's about it. She didn't eat any supper yet but I figure I'll give the meds time to kick in and try her again. I'll give her some more fluids before I go to bed.
Tomorrow if she isn't doing better it's off to see Dr Doug. This is the first flare she's had since September so she's done well but every time she has one I get so panicky inside. I know what to do and how to do it but I get so scared.
So please keep my little girl in your thoughts and prayers tonight. Will keep you posted as the night progresses.
