Hi everybody. Sorry I haven't been around lately. There's been lots going on. Well it looks like Tori is having a CP flare. SHe was doing OK and even earned a slight dose decrease last week. Yesterday she ate a small breakfast and seemed OK but while I was oaut taking my granddaughter to Day Care and running some errands she vomited. Not that much but enough and she was hiding under the coffee table when I got home. There was also the fact that she pooped on the mat in my bedroom. (That seems to be her sure fired way of letting me know that she isn't feeling well.) So I started the routine we have when she starts to flare. I gave her Pepcid, Metacop and Buprenex and later on gave her some fluids. She's had no more vomiting and has eaten little bits for me.

Today I put her dose back up to the 1.25. She ate some breakfast and lunch. Not as much as she normally does - about half. I've continued to give her the Pepcid , Metacop and Buprenex q12h. I gave her 75cc of fluids as well at +6. I learned the hard way with Tori that if I give her insulin and fluids too close together she drops like a stone. Her sugars have ranged from 248 to 342. ( My spreadsheet is up to date.). She hasn't vomited at all. She remains lethargic. She comes out from under the coffee table every now and walks around and that's about it. She didn't eat any supper yet but I figure I'll give the meds time to kick in and try her again. I'll give her some more fluids before I go to bed.

Tomorrow if she isn't doing better it's off to see Dr Doug. This is the first flare she's had since September so she's done well but every time she has one I get so panicky inside. I know what to do and how to do it but I get so scared.

So please keep my little girl in your thoughts and prayers tonight. Will keep you posted as the night progresses.

It sounds like you're doing everything you need to do. Would a little FortiFlora or something to perk up her appetite be in order?

Well she ate a bit for me by nibbling off my finger. Almost nibbled my finger in the process. I took her down to the litter box and she peed a bit. I managed to stick a test strip under her. She was negative for ketones thank heavens. Interestingly she had a large amount of leukocytes - bladder infection maybe? Her SG was 1.02. I'm going to go to sleep for awhile and get up at 2to test and feed her. I'll also give her some more fluids then. A good sign- Malachi followed us downstairs. Tori didn't take kindly to that and chased him up the stairs. That's my girl. I think I can safely go to sleep til it's time for her snack.

Have a good night everybody. May all your kitties dream in blues and greens.

I slept for a couple of hours and got up at +6and she was 282 which isn't that bad I guess. She wouldn't eat on her own -even her favourites with a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese. She did eat off my finger though when pretty well forced. I'd say I got one full tablespoon into her which is better than nothing. Then Daniel held her while I gave her 75cc of fluids again. Unless there is a big change in her before morning she for sure will be going in to see Dr Doug. I'm so worried . I hate to see her like this and those of you who know Tori's story know how sick she can get. This rotten pancreatitis almost killed her twice before. Please keep her in your prayers.
