Happy long weekend Caturday!! Hope you all have great weather and enjoy cookouts with family and friends.
Spike really wanted me to feed breffus this morning and woke me by nibbling any exposed body part he could get to. The big orange male cat has been visiting quite often and driving him crazy. He likes to lay against the side of my house. Hes one big cat with a huge head and very yellow eyes. I dont believe hes ferel just a wanderer. I keep running outside to shoo him away and he just stares me down..lol.

Maybe the big orange cat want to get under your skin,make friends with Spike and You let him stay at Your nice porch?

Great amps for Spike. I bet that orange cat is driving him crazy. I wonder if hes spade? My cats would go crazy also if we have a visiter. Yea, its going to be a beautiful weekend. Enjoy. :-D

Janice,

He is what we know as a Tom cat, an unneutered male. Do you know if he belongs to any of the neighbors? Whenever I get a cat that hangs around I go up and down the street to see if they belong to anybody. I have trapped a couple and found homes for them. We have a no kill shelter near where I live. Thats the one that I volunteer for once a week. I wish I did'nt work, I would help them out more. Thats what I will do when I retire.

The problem is this cat is impregnating many unspayed females which leads to overpopulation and suffering. Is there an organization maybe in your area that takes care of feral cats? TNR They trap neuter and than in some instances return them if they are unadoptable.

I'm not going to be home for awhile, but when I get a chance I'll check on the computer for you.

Sounds pretty brazen....how annoying...Spike is better off not making his acquaintance...

You should hang a note around the Tom-cat's neck "I am a huge cat with a huge head, please bring me to the vet and have me checked for acro. When we return from the vet, please keep me in my own backyard."

While he's staring you down, maybe try to give him a snack? Gain some trust for a possible trapping. I found a TNR group locally through a google search, they were very helpful when I had a stray cat hanging around.
