Good morning,LL and Happy Saturday!
It's so quiet in LL - ya it's saturday and sleep in for working force.
I love the early summer morning(spring) sit on back deck and have my ~O) .
Jake is doing good,exploring backyard right now. Squirrels,birds,chipmanks - very interesting life outside.
What I noticed different with Jake is -since his #s are more lower he is eating slower (not like vacum),and his bowl is not licked clean
like before. Well...I'm hoping maybe he can chop off some weight ? Just wish!
it's been only 3 cycles in blue/green zone and he is more like 'resting' (act like he is sick) but he is OK! I have a special word for testing
him (You want to eat? --papa?) he is up like a bullet!
Hope You all understand what I'm talking about. Uhhh,Istill have to learn a lot at my old age!

Is it Memorial Day? I don't keep track of those holidays anymore :lol:

Glad Jake is doing well. Perhaps his eating slower is because his numbers are lower and not the other way around (he is getting more satisfied from the food so he's not as hungry). Diets aren't easy, I know.....it was a lot more fun putting that on than it is taking it off! My civie Socks is a bit pudgy but no matter what I try he doesn't get any thinner :roll:
 
Thats how Spike has been with his green numbers...not famished in the morning. He will still run like a bullet when he hears the treat container...its sooo funny. Im off to buy more flowers today. I neglected to water one day and a few withered. Ive been so busy watering grass seed, which is the slowest thing Ive ever grown. Tales 2-4 weeks to sprout up. Seems like Im always just wetting dirt. Have a wonderful, peaceful, sunny day Bo.
 
Good Morning Bo! I am happy that Jake is doing so well, and maybe wants to lose a little of his winter weight. It has been a beautiful summer so far, and it isn't even June yet!

I was just saying this morning that Shadow takes his sweet old time getting to the food bowl nowadays. I hold my breath cause I am never quite sure that he will eat. His sister has been OTJ since early Dec and she is always very enthusiastic about meal time even if she doesn't clean the bowl.
As long as they are feeling well, i guess it's ok ....I hated the ravenous eating that took place before DX...so this is a nice change. Hope you have a good morning on your deck ~O)
 
It sounds like Jake's coming along fine, very fine indeed, these days.

The foods could be that he's healing nicely and the foods he is eating is actually getting put to use, unlike when unregulated or newly dx and the foods go in and right back out again. Man, that stuff sure gets inhaled in no time flat! Shadoe's also slower on the food but I think that's a good thing. Only if she is very high or very low will she start eating with gusto again.
They certainly know the words for food's coming, as surely as they know their own names

And as for the weight, well, does he chase those squirrels outside? Maybe some nice weather and some teasing squirrels will get Jake moving fast and he'll drop a bit of weight.

Enjoy your time on the deck and hope Jake has lots of fun in the yard too.

Nice to see you..Sounds like Jake is doing well--Moonie eats much less than she used to in higher numbers and is quite slim now-
All food plates used to be empty am & pm, now never get both empty!-This is a good thing, shows they arent that ravenous sick cat they used to be..
 
Hi Bo,

Glad to see that Jake is feeling much better. Sara used to eat like there was no tomorrow too. She's a lot better now, although she is still the full figured gal that she was before she got sick. It's not easy to get it off.

I wonder how long it will take Jake to figure out that your talking about testing not food? One of these days he might look at you and say "are you kidding me" :-D

I peeked at your spreadsheet. It looks like Jake had a lovely green day :mrgreen: .
