Still running a bit higher than normal. Wonder if she got into anything yesterday? (She will tear into a loaf of bread if it's not properly put away!)

Anyway AM PS was 9.8/197. Gave fat 0.25u. It's early and it's Saturday, and I am heading back to bed!

Hi Karen,

Hope you get better #'s later from Astrophe later. A friend of mine has a cat that will eat anything you leave out that has to do with food also. You have to keep one step ahead of them at all times. :smile:

Ok... doing just spot checks today, but am now suspecting we may need dose decrease instead of increase... maybe no dose?

AMPS 197 gave 0.25u fat

So maybe the higher BGs over the past few days are because she is bouncing? Hmmmmm.... ideas?
 
Hi Karen in Nova Scotia!

Hard to tell what Astrophe is doing and if dose needs to be adjusted. Strictly from the PSs, i'd say stay put on the dose but lantus is not based on pre-tests numbers ... I recommend that you try to get more spot checks when you can. Also, if you could get one before you go sleepus it would be very very helpful. There is less insulin resistance in the evening so cats tend to start to go lower at night; that's why sleepus test is very telling.

Are you feeding the PM meal at +10? Or is it a snack? Usually, we recommend to not feed within 2 hours of shot time.

If you can get a curve over the weekend it may also help to get a better idea of what's happening with Astrophe's numbers.
 
Supper is at +10 ... and with work schedules, that can't be changed. :sad: There is another small snack before bed.
