I gave her a fat zero this AM - no daylight between the top of the plunger and the bottom of the zero line - and she still fell like a rock.

I'm on vacation for a couple days, so we're going to try OTJ again, since i'm home and can watch her. If you have a minute, look at her speradsheet and tell me what on earth else i can do.

My my, you would think that with that small of a dose she wouldn't have any shed to go off of. Hmm....lets see what others say. I think the safest thing would be to try OTJ while you are away.
 
Short of waving the Lantus in front of Jane, I'm not sure you can shoot any less. What you might want to do is shoot, test at +1 and +2 and if you're seeing the numbers drop, keep feeding small amounts. If the drops seem like there's momentum, add some Karo* to the food to keep the numbers bumped up/surfing so she doesn't bottom out.


(*Jane has GI issues and can't eat the usual HC foods. )

Paige - I think Kris meant she's taking a 'staycation' and will be there to monitor Jane.

sure try a day of no insulin and still testing her, she might be doing this with no insulin injected at all. need to look and see if that is the case. (last trial wasn't really fair was coming off a bounce). but i *think* maybe she is gonna need insulin (a fully functional pancreas won't let a cat bounce). if the trial doesn't work.... the next step is to drop clock.
what are your normal work hours out of house?
 
okay dian, lol, i thought kris stole your log on there for a sec. and was thinking why does kris wanna be dian? if we are switching identities, i wanna be dian! or kris. or gobblygook. anyone but me. :mrgreen:
8:30 to 5:30 is 9 hours, still can ditch clock if the trial doesn't work. (not talking about tid).

i want to be Janie. Have my every need met, my face wiped with a warm wet cloth when there's food on it, I want to have food available whenever I want it, and I want to be carried around like a baby and sleep on a sheepskin in the sun.

Meanwhile, Sienne, I did actually do that today -- I showed it to her and said, take a whiff of this, baby girl! No avail. She's one for the books, for sure.

Her Web site is proof enough! Have a look - she loves to be admired.
