? 5/24, Tango, BG not going down after 5 days

As suggested, we have been monitoring Tango's BG the last few days since his BG spiked. This happened after being on vacation for a week. Thought maybe he was stressed from us being gone and having strangers in the house for a week. After 5 days, his BG has not come down. Was 98 day before we left. This morning it was 363. We're taking him to the vet tomorrow. He is due for annual dental work and will ask to check for UTI. He is maintaining his weight (14.2) and is 12 years old. Started taking Amlodipine for HBI around Christmas. Anything else to ask about?

Also, should we start insulin again? if so, what dose? Of course, will discuss with vet too.

Appreciate any advise!

I would see what the vet says. Get the labs and see if there’s an infection as well. Then we can talk better. Good luck. A dental might fix it. :bighug:
 
Any chance he got contraband food or treats while you were gone? He does seem to be bringing his numbers down on his own somewhat. It also sounds like he's barfing frequently, that should be investigated by the vet.
