Latte started today @ 244. Left her +2 @ 154. Gave cypro because = really couldnt tell ya the last time she ate more than a few tsp of babyfood. She started eating before I left. Everything had karo in it.

Came home and vomit splattered all over one room. :( The stinky stuff, too. All over her paws- back and front. She wont let me clean the back.. How horrible it must feel for her.

Taking her in for cerenia injection , to be sure it gets in/stays in...AND absorbs. Pills dont always work as well. Im hoping THEY Can clean her back paws.

+8.75 was in the 300's. *sigh*
She is spending a lot of time crying a sad meow at her water bowl.

Thankfully I have the evening off to be with her.
 
Awww, I'm sorry Latte is having such a lousy day. Hugs to you both. Such a sad thought of her crying at her bowl. I hope she's feeling a lot better really soon. Keep us posted.

Per Pat's request....update...;)

She got the cerenia shot, but ,5 miles from the vet on the way home she started open mouth breathing! I did the fastest u turn known to cat kind. We decided it was the heat (apparently the air is not just sorta working in my car... it just is not, period). We probably have a heat index near 100. today. They had her sit in a room and cool down. Hve not seen her do it since. She was walking sideways again when we got home!! I did not see them give the shot. I asked them to be careful when handling her. She had bupe in her system an hr before we went.

I shut her in my bedroom, where the air is. She sat there for about 30 min. and is now back in the hallway...where it is hot. *sigh*

BG d}opped from 330 to 260 before we left for vet (+10.5). Back into 330,s by shot. I hope I dont regret giving her regular dose, since I dont know if she will eat. I may have to drop it tomorrow if she is not eating well. Its really a shame.

If she does not start eating well overall and cerenia does not control vomiting...OR ...I have to start using it too often it will probably be recommended to bring her steroid dose back up.
 
Hi Carolyn - I can just hear Latte's sad little meow. We continue to think about you two & are sending more healing vines. Give her lots of hugs from us this evening too.

poor kitty! hoping things pick up for her soon. don't know of bad effects of steroid besides BG increase but they've been very helpful to cleo and harry when they've been in distress.

I hope Latte feels better tomorrow. I'm sure this is so hard for you Carolyn, but you are an awesome momma to Latte.
