Good morning, LL
We opened a new Lantus pen this morning after overnight numbers in the high 200's. It was 29 days on the old pen. I know some of you get more time than that, and I wish I knew why. I hope we get better numbers today.

WCR: Blackie was his normal sweet self this am. Had his breffis and took a nap in the bathroom doorway while I was getting ready for work. Then he wanted some more breakfast, which as his dedicated staff, I gave him. He had lots of outside time yesterday, even had 2 of his spot checks outside so he wouldn't have to come in.

We're starting a new pen today as well -- mine never last as long as some others do either!
I hope that does the trick!!

Very cool of you to do spot checks outside!

We started a new pen too!!!!! Were these pens sent to you, or from local pharmacy?? Mine were from local place--
I also take them out, draw, & return to frig as soon as possible--Dont know if those are any variables in this, but that's what i do--
Believe me I was as surprised as anyone to get 43 days out of a pen!!!!!

Good luck with the new pen. My bean was all excited about my new pen, too, but now she doesn't seem as happy. Who knows what these beans get in their heads, huh? I know you must be getting excited about the full moon party. I think you should wear some lilacs from your bush since it's the Full Flower Moon Party this month. I think I am going to wear daisies; pink and red to match my collar. See you soon, friend!!

It's better than pink, but I was hoping for something a little more blue. :mrgreen: Hopefully Blackie will get back on track tonight.

Sarah, sorry, but the lilacs are done blooming. Blackie & I have been looking around the yard for just the right flower. I'm thinking the chamomile flowers are just the right size and they smell good too. They look like small daisies.

Good luck with the new pen I am about to open a new one for Do Lou as well his is 27 days old today and I hardly ever get past that with mine so I may start a new pen tonight for him as well. :mrgreen:
