And OF COURSE I had to work today... 8am-5pm with a 15 minute visit to get that test. Thats her +2-+11.
Im just so mad!
I left the air on for her all day...starting at 8am. Was probably the only one in the city with their air on at this time of day. I did it so she would stay cool while I was gone, since I wouldnt be home to turn it on when it started getting hot. Of course, where did I find her when I got home?!?! Ya! The hottest place in the apt...no where near the a/c rooms. ohmygod_smile
No, she does not feel good tonight from what I can tell. And now she is just set up for another large drop with the consequences of a bounce...because I, yet again will not be around to make sure she eats at the right times. Let the viscious cycle continue.
One year ago tonight I rushed Latte to the ER vet after vomiting 8 times and liquid poo 5 times in a 4hr period. They gave her a steroid injection and sent me home with the pred. We had a wonderful summer, with me NOT having to syringe feed her for the first time in almost a year. Then came the FD.... :YMSIGH: I certainly hope tonight turns out to be a little different.
So ya, something positive right?!?!?! My bike will be fixed in about a week. I have always been a very avid rider, climber, and paddler. Since Latte has been sick (3yrs now), I have become completely innactive. My bike has been broken and I just didnt have the energy to deal with it. I may not be able to get out climbing because of time constraints between work and caring for her. But, it wont be hard to sneak in a daily bike ride and/or ride to work. Im really hoping the physical activity will help me feel better inside and out.
Regarding Questions/Comments from Yesterday:
Appy stim- I give latte cypro. It usually jump starts her for a few days...as the mirtz does for other cats. I hesitate giving it to her because she will eat A TON of kibble. Im not too psyched about giving it to her when she is in the 600's, ya know? Then there is the bupe, and how it was decided it might not be the best idea to give both. So its a little bit of juggling things when I decide to give it to her. The cypro DOES work.
I do also sprinkle treats and such on her food. its the only way she will take it...if she sees me shaking the bag and I put it to her face to sniff. even then, as soon as she gets to the bowl she turns away.
And, Im sorry about scaring anyone by not putting her numbers up in the heading. I really am not interested in advertising her HI readings. they are not worthy of being next to her name. And, if its not about the numbers anyway, then...why put them out there. Ya?!
