Good Morning Everyone,
Following Libby's suggestion I fattened Rusty's dose this morning to what I hope was a fat 0.75. I hope it will help him get back down to his usual numbers. He has lost momentum. We all had a good night, woke up to kitty kisses and Rusty giving himself a noisy bath! Good test, shot and 2 sittings of breakfast. DH is getting ready to take Rusty out in the garden. We have sun this morning!!!
Yesterday's drive down to camp and to Paddlefest was fine, but we had some tremendous thunderstorms with hail-like rain. The cabin looks good and it is now all ready for Rusty. There was mouse sign, so he should have lots there to interest him. (He's not allowed outside at camp because there are too many predators and also tourists' dogs running around, but he'll enjoy the screened porch.)
Paddlefest was fun. We didn't try out any boats, but saw many friends there and enjoyed seeing what is new in paddling (the big "hit" this year, especially with kids, is the paddle-board: a wide surfboard that you paddle with a long paddle. There was a guy paddling one in the 90-mile race last fall. This year I think we'll see them all over the place).
Just got finished bailing in the cellar. It's as bad as ever because we keep having these downpours that keep the water table high. I have to buy some more sponges today--replacing them as they rot out from the water and mud. The weather forecast for the week ahead continues "unsettled".
Everyone have a good day. We are sending thoughts of comfort to MJ and Linda and healing vines to all kitties and beans who can use some help.
