Good Morning LL!!
(DGS fuel, Please!), and Happy Wednesday!
L! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista! HEY! I am so glad that I have Mannie's espresso recipe book, he made such GOOD STUFF! Thanks Mannie! In so give up on the newbies... ROOKIES! Last night they made got tit all mixed up! ground the ice cream and froze the beans. One cannot get good help these days, and then! the forgot to put the lids on the grinders, so well... stuff was everywhere. Even I, in my rookie days, wasn't at bad. They is so silly. Well, thet did clean up.... so. well. anyways. onwards! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espressos, with beans from Hawaiian coffee plantations: Hawaii Ka'u blend, AND.... for all Mannie's Mocha fans: Venti quad Irish cream infused white mocha, with hazelnut and caramel whip, garnished with caramelized nut clusters and white chocolate shavings. AND a dollop of caramel nut swirl ice cream .... YUM! Mannie made such good things! I am so glad I found his recipe book..... I wonder why he never added ice cream.... it is mega good.....
Yesterday was vet day for the newbies, and we survived vetty! Vet went ok.
This is from last night's post: Bug does have a heart murmur, plus his rate was a little fast. So, in a few months I will take him into Mannie's cardio vet and get a a baseline done on him. it is the only way to tell if there is an issue, or not. Cats can live with murmurs and have no problems so we will hope that is the case with him, and that the fast heart beat was just due to vet stress. If not, and there is an issue then we can go from there. She did say that he has apparently been a stray, active tom for most of his 5 years. She can tell by his body structure (SOLID muscle), his jowls, and his reactions to being poked. Not too surprised. I could tell by his coat, and general appearance. amazing what a few days at home and some good brushing will do... What is great is that he is so mellow, even at the vet today, loves to cuddle and purr.
Lola has a URI: kitty cold, so she is on antibiotics for that. I suspected as much as she started sneezing early yesterday morning, consistently. Otherwise she is fine. She was so agitated there, but they won her over with that canned cheese junk. She loves it, so she left there happier, and looking for more cheese. LOL! All in all, a good visit.
On the home front: Elsa is doing very well with them. Last night at dinner she and Lola were nose to nose, sniffing, no hisses. Still both are wary, but this is progress! They all ate dinner together, CPC all around, naps followed, play time and not one hiss or evil eye... YAY!!! Today we see what Nicholas thinks of them, and what they think of him. Could be fun! I know he will be thrilled - not too sure on them. ;-)
Have a great day everyone. I am on Nicholas duty today. It will be a swim day, followed by whatever comes down the pike. As some DGS news: This past weekend he graduated to a big boy bed, took to it right off, hasn't looked back at that crib once. He stays in bed, for the most part, and no fall outs. They just grow up so fast!
And kitties? THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!
