Good Morning, Everyone,

We had a frost last night and Rusty enjoyed snuggling into the quilts. He had some of his congestive coughing early this morning, but then went back to sleep. Then, at AMPS, Edward stepped on his tail!. Ouch! Poor Rusty is now sleeping it off in his little bed by the radiator (which is ON!). Rusty ate most of his nighttime food and started in on his breakfast (first sitting).

Today is a "get ready for the weekend" day: cleaning and shopping, because tomorrow we plan to go on a paddle if the leaders decide that conditions aren't too bad (it is still very cold and windy). My sister will arrive on Saturday. We'll do an easy paddle on Sunday so that she can get her paddling muscles tuned up a little (she is 87). The traditional Memorial Day paddle is on Sunday and this year we will paddle the Upper Osgood River, starting at Church Pond, paddling through a channel to Osgood Pond, which we will cross to get to the river. The Upper Osgood River is beautiful and remote. We paddle up to the rapids where the river goes underground and then paddle back to the start after lunch at a campsite. (About 2 miles downstream from where the river goes underground it re-emerges as the Lower Osgood; this is the paddle we did last year.)

Keeping all kitties and beans who are not feeling well in our thoughts today,

Ella & Rusty

@Frosty : Hi John, good to hear from you.

Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee:
On my way Auntie Ella! Ethiopian today! :) ~~ Elsa, kitteh barista

Wow, frost? You still get cold there at night...

oh no! Poor Rusty! a tail stepping. I cannot count the number of times I have done that... sorry kitties!

Surf well today Rusty, you are off to a good start. The lagoon perhaps?

Good luck with all your prep work. Sounds like a great weekend in the making. I hope you will be bale to do all of your planned paddles. I love it that your sister, at 87, still paddles. very cool! The paddles sounds wonderful, and very pretty!

Have a great day today. I hope all goes well.

Poor Rusty...and poor Edward! I always feel horribly guilty when I step on one of the kitties' tails. I really hope you can paddle...but BRrrrrrrr! Your frost makes me appreciate my 55 degrees. Have a great day, Ella!

That is wonderful that your sister is coming in and that she will paddle with you!! Hugs and scritches for Rusty's tail, so glad to hear he's eating good though!! Have a great day Ella!

Oh good lord 87 and paddling! Your sister is my inspiration today! :)
Nice weekend plans! Just a note we are sending our nice weather in MN to you for the weekend!

WOW...87 and still paddling?? GO Sister!!

Poor Rusty.....of course if you kitties would watch where you leave that thing, it's much less likely to get stepped on.....just saying...LOL

Come on LagoonMeister!....time for you to get back to work!!

So the LagoonMeister has been on duty for most of the day, although he had climbed up on shore by PMPS. I've been out most of the day: decided to make a spur of the moment trip to Plattsburgh to get Rusty's food because we are leaving for a few days at Camp Stu on Tuesday and I wanted to make sure he had enough. Then I did the other (bean) shopping on the way home. The house never did get cleaned (lol). I've got Saturday morning for that.

Off to visit some condos. Hope all is well in L & LL,

Ella & Rusty

Hope you have a lovely weekend and visit with your sister.
Rusty, you don't need to do anything spectacular while your mama bean is busy this weekend. How about you be in charge of the bbq?

Rusty - your presence is requested back in the lagoon tonight please!

Paws crossed for good weather for your paddle tomorrow. It's supposed to cool down to around 60 for our early morning paddle tomorrow. It's great to hear your sister is still paddling. She must be in great shape. I'm always impressed to see people in their 70's rowing singles in competitions.

Great :( The day I doesn`t go to lagoon is da day Rusty is there.
Wuv,
Lulu

I think Lulu has a crush on Rusty ;)
Your sister is my hero, being active is the way to age well. I was in MEC buying snowshoes this winter and an 82 year old was there buying a pair for herself. Hope you have a great weekend and excellent paddling weather.

Yo, Rusty! Don't worry about the lagoon tonight. Me and China gots it covered. She's watching the shallows and I been in the deep end all night. All's well. Looking forward to training tomorrow. - Cinco
