Asia is doing well with the TID schedule, she’s not going as high or staying high as long as she was before. It’s hard to know if the schedule change is what did it vs she is feeling better than she was, but the timing is uncanny. TID is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, touch wood, it actually works out a bit better for me. It’s easier to monitor a shorter cycle and the timing is such that I can get out more without worry and get better sleep too. Seems counterintuitive but that’s how it’s worked out. She’s also been very predictable thus far, which I’m not used to, I hope this trend continues. It looks once again like we are starting over, as soon as she sees green she runs far away from it, I hope it doesn’t take too long for her to calm down from that.

She seems to be feeling a bit better as well, less pain for sure. I’ve cut back her bupe dose again, still more than before this incident, but less than just a few days ago. I’ve also been able to space out the dose from every 6-7 hours to every 8-10, so that is a good sign to me. She’s been happy and chatty and wanting to be where all the action is again too. Still nervous, not knowing what is going on and don’t think we are out of the woods yet, but progress.

It’s crazy busy time in the dance world and it’s going to stay that way for the next few weeks, lots of errands and appointments and preparations for the summer. Had a nice weekend trying to cram some family time in between the chaos. Went to a new place downtown to get earl grey ice cream (my fave tea), it was delicious and I don’t even like ice cream much.

Earl grey ice cream sounds good. Do you get London Fog drinks there? One of my fav's too.

Glad the TID is working out. I preferred flatter too, much more predictable. Of course, most important the Asia is feeling better. :)

Is your daughter back dancing yet?

I’ve never heard of a London Fog before, had to look that up, but I have had earl grey lattes and make them at home sometimes. Earl grey: always milk, not lemon! ;) We have a shop here called Argo Tea, it’s like Starbucks for tea, it’s awesome since we don’t drink coffee here. We’ve all been obsessed with Roobios tea recently.

I’m so waiting for the other shoe to drop, Asia started out on Lev quite predictable...until she wasn’t again. I have to wonder if pancreatitis or whatever else doesn’t play a major hand in all of that.

K is dancing again, she still has to be mindful not to push too hard and has to hold back a bit which she hates to do, but it’s been a valuable thing to have this injury/surgery and come back, it put a lot of things in to perspective for her and that may not have happened any other way. She’s very happy and thankful to be back doing what she loves to do.

London Fogs are my downfall.... i was getting them so much, i got myself a mill frother and vanilla syrup so I can make it at home LOL. Ice cream sounds yummy!!!

Glad Asia is doing better :bighug:

Whatever you're calling it, it's been a beautiful cycle so far!!

Show us how it's done Asia!!!

Thanks, Chris!

Longest red and black free streak since the end of March! I don’t want to jinx it, but either she’s feeling better and it’s showing up in the numbers, or better numbers have allowed her to feel better. I don’t care which, I’m just thankful!

I remain is awe of the testing. Not sure how you manage this. Obvs Asia is also fine or does she sleep through.
Ty did with some tests during the summer months & when he was not well but otherwise it remains a mission.

She’s honestly not bothered by it, I have it down, it’s quick and the lowest lancet setting does the trick. I’ve done it on myself and it’s not bad. Sometimes she does sleep through it, although I try not to do it when she’s sleeping unless I really need to. She’s bothered when I have to give her bupe, clean her feet of caked on litter, or wipe gunk off of her face, she’s not a fan of those things but testing is not an issue at all and never has been, thankfully.

Hey Stacy! So glad the TID is working out. I have been offline a few days and glad to catch up with Asia. Glad she seems to be in less pain and you can cut back on the pain meds as that Bupe constipates the heck out of Bubba.

Earl Grey Ice Cream sounds Devine. How do you make the Lattes?
