Hi Folks!
First of all thank you for all your advice yesterday. It always feels good to not feel alone. Today we bought a new electric stove so his paws won't be open to open flame from the gas stove. Sears delivered it and it looks nice.
Oh the things we do for Scooter around here. So hopefully that will help. Of course I still have to be aware of him. His paw is blistered today and it is bandaged with soothing aloe on it. He also has pain meds. He is resting in the highest perch in the house in a sunbeam. When I look at him like that he is so innocent!
I did buy a couple toys and add treats to the inside which the other kitties love but Scooter has no interest. I think it is because he is so light weight and the toy is kid of heavy. I have been playing with him more and encouraging the kids to play with him when they are here. They love that Scooter seems to have come to life!
I do miss my lap kitty though.
After reading what you al have to say and remembering how sick he was I have decided not to re add kibble to our house. Thanks for reminding me how bad kibble is what it did to my house hold. You are right about how clean my counters are. I am just going to grin and bare it and move forward. In the mean time I will post a monthly update on Scooters antics and naughty food intake.
I am so grateful for you all!!
