Don't know what else I can do. I can't get blood from M's ears. It took about 6 times 6 lancets and even used a new lancing device thinking the old one was worn out. M won't let me touch his paws.
He is now in the yellow and I don't think he is holding the reducie. 1.5u is too much 1.25u is not enough. A F1.25u didn't work. The doses are not working. I can't get blood to test. so what do I do? Watch my baby
whither away into nothing. I wanted to try to get him into remission for the very reason if something were to happen to me there wouldn't be anyone to give him shots. Obviously remission is not going to happen.
I am out of hope. Not being able to test puts Michael at a great risk.
Michael now has 2 sores under his Chin (he originally had one now it went into two.) The bump on his tail has come back. (Neither of these things seem to bother him). I feel like I have failed my baby boy and that I am losing this battle. I'm not well, and with my challenges, I felt I was doing such a good job until all this happened. The stress on both of us is way too much. I don't know that I can give him up. I'm Heartbroken.
Michael is all I have in the world. All of my family are gone. This is awful.
Vets are not that much help. The people on this board have been awesome and for that I am grateful.
You gave me the courage and strength so I could test & gave shots to keep my baby safe.
Without this board I wouldn't of known what to do.
Again thanks for everything you have done for me.
Paula (terribly worried & scared):(

so far it's just a low yellow.... with meter variance.... not really much different than a high blue....
and sometimes you just get these blips....

do you have calipers?
so many of the syringes are inaccurate now.... all made in china.... and it's entirely possible that one syringe or several could
be off enough that his dose isn't consistent.
when I switched years ago, my old syringes were 1/3 more insulin then my new ones.... the difference between them...
and then that brand would vary, by that much with itself.....

ignoring the lines on the syringe and just using calipers is the best way to be consistent.

lots of hugs for the lumps.... I understand all to well, having had some removed here too....
and now we have another lipoma ( infiltrative very likely)

i haven't read about the chin sores....
I'll have to go back and read up history for him.

Have you ever tried just using the lancet, without the device? I have been freehanding Cinco from the beginning. I tried a lancing device and it was too awkward.

Maybe a different gauge of lancet? You are warming the ear, aren't you?

It sounds like you have really had a tough time lately and it is all hitting you at once. Take some deep breaths, get a good night's sleep, and start again in the morning. Michael is actually doing pretty well, so although he is not where you'd hoped he'd be, it isn't that bad!

Sending lots of vines and hugs. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
