Looks like Tugger had a good day yesterday:

Better start to today at 80 =) Not much to report since I wasn't here yesterday, today all he's done is eat and sleep lol. Hubby was super active all day yesterday so that meant the dogs were too, I am guessing that today is Tugger's recover-from-hyper-dogs day.
Isis is settling in well, she's attached herself with velcro to hubby's side. He's now learning what I have been dealing with for 2.5 years with Boomer  or maybe  heheheh He's now thinking of changing her name to Velcro or Hemorrhoid (Hemmie for short because she pulls like a V-8 he said ROFL) I'm loving it lol. It's funny to watch him trip over her every time he turns around. It's also kind of funny to watch him get frustrated over it because he's been sitting here in my shoes for a couple of years now, laughing about Boomer being up m butt 24/7 and now it's HIS turn. *nods* Yep, I'm kinda lovin' it
Boomer seems to have accepted her and isn't quite as nervous now. We're watching for her triggers and redirecting her before she can get snippy with him. She doesn't like to be crowded, seems to be the thing that sets her off most often, so we're trying to make sure that doesn't happen. Boomer sees that we are working at it to keep him safe and has even put her in her place once or twice. Progress is being made =)
I had a blast yesterday  I spent a lot of money on yarn and drooled at all the ones I couldn't buy. I petted sheep and Alpacas and little hoppy lambs. I was stepped on and bumped into a thousand and one times because the crowd was HUGE. It was way more crowded than I have ever seen it before.
I do wish to rant for one brief moment... WHY do people insist upon bringing their small children out to crowded festivals in 90 degree heat? The come out in giant strollers which they then load up with all sorts of crap to entertain the brats who don't even want to be there in the first place. Then they proceed to shove these giant strollers through the crowd with NO regard to the legs, heels and feet of the other people around them. They let their brats put sticky hands all over the very expensive yarn that most of these vendors have spun/dyed themselves. They let them run wild in the crowds, again with no regard to the people around them. Most of whom have left their own brats at HOME because it's just NOT a place meant for small kids. Each vendor gets a pretty small area to set up. These areas are so crowded that you can't even move around comfortably under the best of conditions. You literally have to stand still and wait for someone else to move so you can take their place. It's not a place for kids, seriously. It is even more NOT a place for strollers. I also saw a lot of people out there with tiny babies, most were wearing baby in a pouch. It was 90 degrees, humid and the sun was out in FULL force. The babies were miserable in the pouches, screaming because they were hot and uncomfortable. Really? You've got to go to this festival SO BAD that you can't leave the baby with dad or grandma or even wait for the next one? I never would have considered taking my boys to something like that when they were newborn or just a few months old. It's just not fair to the baby. It was so hot yesterday that the adults were walking around shiny with sweat on every exposed body part, shirts were drenched to the point of dripping in some cases, people were getting heat exhaustion. Not the place for a small baby or even a toddler for that matter.
I do love kids, I really do. But some activities are just not meant for you to bring the whole family along. Unless the whole family are knitters, crocheters, spinners etc. Which I have known of. Sure, kids like the sheep and other animals but that's really about the only thing there of any interest to kids, that interest is pretty short lived too. Once you've seen one barn filled with baaa'ing sheep, you've seen 'em all really. I felt sorry for the kids and irritated with the parents for putting them through it. I heard so many kids crying "I'm HOT" ,"I'm TIRED", "I'm HUNGRY" (not many kids like lamb sammiches, especially right after they've been PETTING LAMBS!) and "I WANNA GO HOME NOWWWWWWWWWWWW!" Heck, by 1:00 I was crying (in my head) "I'm HOT. I'm TIRED. I wanna go home now." We only got there at 11:30 and I had WANTED to be there, if that tells you much. We stayed till 5 and when we left we were all three filthy, exhausted and wishing for a shower and a bed but had to drive back home. I can't imagine being 4 and having to be forced to go through that day.
My plan for today is to wallow in my purty yarnz and recover =)
