5/2 Arnie AMPS 358

I was encouraged falsely for half a day. I bet the infection is going to come back. I don't know what we are going to do. I have had him to the vets twice in the past 3 weeks. I can't afford to keep going back there again and again. He is still not eating too which is so UNLIKE him! He didn't even eat at all yet this morning. I am terribly worried. Please pray for Arnie! :cry: :cry: :cry:

I am so sorry Arnie is not feeling well. Clearly his bg and lack of appetite means something is wrong.
Do you think you could get if you fed him. Put a little food on your finger.
Do you test for ketones?

He finally ate a little last night right after I gave him his insulin. The past 2 days he has eaten about one can of FF a day and he has to be coaxed to eat that much. Normally he scarfs down 3 cans a day and wants more. There is something very wrong with him but other than the numbers and the lack of appetite he acts perfectly normal. Litter box activity is normal. The vet just did blood work and urinalysis and nothing was found. Ketones have been normal. I am STUMPED.

Bob was Arnie tested for pancreatitis?
Cats are very good at hiding pain so sometimes although acting fine they still may be sick.

No he was not tested for pancreatitis..he had bloodwork and urinalysis...what is the test for pancreatitis and how much is that going to cost me? Came down real nice in the last nine hours (after the dosecrease) Hopefully things will get better. He seems to be SLOWLY getting his appetite back!

I believe it is a fasting blood test but others may know better....Putty was tested not too long ago but I don't remember the cost.
You could call your vet and ask if it was done although I tend to doubt the vet would just do it without cause.
Maybe I am just grasping at straws here hoping to find a reason why all of a sudden Arnie's numbers would just change so drastically.
