Happy Wednesday!!! We wish strong healing vines for all sugarbabies, civvies, and relatives who need them today.
Gracie was stretched out on the day bed in one of the guest rooms with Tobey this morning when I got up. She had gotten up from our bed earlier. She was doing her usual headbutt somersaults and loud purring when I gave her scritches. She and Tobey are always together....it so warms our hearts. Since her numbers have been up, we haven't seen her wrestling with him like she does when her numbers are down but they have played a little chase. This is Gracie's lowest AMPS in 8 days....unknown if it is because of the new dose or more likely because she is breaking the bounce. Mike will be here today to monitor her very closely.
Question: Yesterday the vet gave us two unopened vials of lantus which another patient had given her because her diabetic dog had passed away from another condition. They are new in the box and expire in July, 2012. My concern is I don't know how they were handled before I got them ....I'm assuming the lady kept them in the frig as the vet had them in the frig but I don't know how long they might have been out from the lady's house to the vet; they were probably out of the frig for 15 mins for me to get them home. I also don't know what temp the lady stored them at. Two vials of lantus...that's alot of money .....so when my pens are done, should I just go ahead and one....they are clear, no floaties, no frosting...look good. I'm assuming the worst that could happen is her numbers go up. But should I worry about any tampering...they looked totally sealed and looked as if the boxes had not even been opened. Thank you!!
Teddi continues to improve although the methimazole has started to upset her tummy again. We increased her aloe for her tummy; vet thinks she just needs a little time to adjust to the MMI. Mom is doing fine. Glenda's mother's service is Thursday. And Tobey needs a dental which will probably happen next week. I brush his teeth religiously and they don't have much tartar but he's always had really red gums even as a kitten so they want to stay on top of it...will be doing a biopsy to see if he has stomatitis or something else going on there...paws crossed he's just got sensitive gums.
Off to TBP. Don't know about visiting condos today...it's a madhouse there. Have a super day.
