Good morning LL!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) (Thanks to Elsa for making the best DGS fuel ever!), and Happy Furday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, recently graduated from barista school! I am a barista! YAY! So.... I Elsa, kitteh barista proudly offer Mannie's patented 10 hour energy ~O) and my very own, Double fudge irish cream minty mocha, smothered in chocolate whip and mint drizzle. And ICE CREAM! underneath all that is a dollop of chocolate mint fudge ice cream. Dang good huh! As Mannie would always say: PRIMO!, and only the best for my customers. You are my customers, right? ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Happy Days everyone! Nicholas and I had a great day out on the trials yesterday. We went to Cougar Mountain, and visited a falls that is near the base of the trail system there. It was a new route for us, and proved to be a very good one for Nicholas. We have been to Coal Creek before, but that access is now closed due to road work, and the development of a new trail system for the creek that will run under the road, connecting bother section of the creek. (YAY!) He got to see some very pretty falls, and also play in the creek that runs adjacent to the falls. Lots of river wading and rock throwing and stick tossing and trail climbing. We had lunch at the falls. He was so funny: had to have his lunch by the falls, insistent! So there he sat, perched on this big log under a great tree canopy. It was almost picture perfect. Maybe that is why he picked it. What a great time. We took his mom out to lunch after that, to Red Robin, where he proceeded to pig-out on his favorite food: french fries. :-D YUM! Here's the Picassa photo and video links: Lunch with Mom and North Fork Falls, Coal Creek

Nicholas was in Mannie mode yesterday - searching for him everywhere, a couple of times. Always with the "I want Man-NIE!" ;-) It's hard to explain all about Mannie to him, so we try an keep it simple. He was sad for a while when he couldn't find his buddy, but seemed to understand that Mannie was gone. He played a little with Elsa instead, who is beginning to warm up to him a bit. No one will ever replace Mannie though, that is becoming apparent. He seems to resolve it all for himself with the knowledge that Mannie is happy. Yes little man, that he is. He misses you too.

Have a great day everyone! I am on DGS today too. Today is a swim day. I am so looking forward to that. We both LOVE the pool!! :-D :-D If there is any time I hope to swing by the shelter with Nicholas. I hope it would be fun for him: something different, and well it would be good to see how the kitties react to him. ;-) I will try and get to condos when I can.

Kitties! Remember.... THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!

More vines to Nicolas in his own healing, and also very good to hear that Elsa is starting to warm up to him. Maybe they will have a bond because they both had a loss. And I'm sure it does your heart good to see it happening as well. Have a great day with all the fun!

Hi Elsa, I'd love a 10-hour energy drink - you're doing great!

Good Morning, Michelle, Nicholas, Elsa,

Elsa, I really need that 10-hour energy coffee this morning. I've got a lot of driving to do today and have to stay awake!! The ~O) tastes especially good, Kitteh Barista! Maybe this afternoon or this evening I'll try one of your mochas.

Michelle, that sounds like a grand outing yesterday. I'll have to view the pics this evening, when we get back. We are leaving in a few minutes for Camp and PaddleFest. Nicholas is a real adventurer. I hope he'll like visiting the shelter. I'm sure that he misses Mannie and it is good that Elsa is trying to fill the void.

Have a fun day. Catch up with you this evening,

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

Hi, Michelle, it must've been bittersweet seeing Nicholas looking for Mannie. He had (has!) such a positive bond with his kitty friend. How sweet for Elsa to warm up to the little guy. Speaking of Elsa, she's taken on the role of Graduated Lil Bit quite well! Thanks for the coffee TREAT!

Enjoy Swim Day!!
Hugs!

Congrats to our new barista, Elsa Lil Bit - woohooooo! We're loving your concoctions, sweetie!!!

Awww on Nicholas missing Mannie. I'm sure it's hard for him to understand, but it is really so sweet that he had/has such a special bond with Mannie. And what a gorgeous day at the falls!!!

Have a great time at the pool!!

Morning Lisa ~O) ~O) ~O) Many thnaks for those vines. I will make sure he gets them. I think so too on Elsa, she really is trying. And yes, it is great to see. I think she misses him too. Will do on today - he's always such fun!
Auntie Lisa - you gots it! I am on my way. Woohoo! I gots another customer! SWWET :-D Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Ella ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, it really was FUN yesterday wiht Nicholas. I loves these hikes: the creeks, waterfalls etc.It is so cool to see him enjoying them as much as he does. ENJOY the travel to camp stu and paddlefest. How fun! The thought of camp stu makes me smile. all those kitty adventures there, and bean ones too! Me too on Nicholas and the shelter - it will be interesting for sure. Yes, I think so on Mannie. The more he realizes that he isn't seeing Mannie, the sadder he seems when he looks. I think Elsa senses that, and does what she can. Nice for a kitty who really isn't much of a social kitty. -- enjoy the photos when you have a chnace to look at them. It is a really nice plaace, lots of green, lots of water. :-D
Auntie Ella - OK! I will bring you too then, one to get you started and one for the road. I bring you the mega road size. :-D Oh cool! I hopes you will like that mocha. I thinks they is mega good too. See ya! Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Josie ~O) ~O) ~O) Yes, it was: bittersweet. Hard to answer him in a way that makes sense to a two year old. So we talk about him, and he then realizes Mannie is still is happy, and that he misses him too. It usually returns the smile. Elsa helps too. She's dong darn well at letting him pet etc. not bad for a senior shy kitty. LOL on our new barista. She seems to like the job. :-D
Auntie Josie! i LOVES my work. it is mega cool! I bring you lots, 'K? ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Amy ~O) ~O) ~O) THX, and I think so too on Mannie. He really dd love that kitty, and it is becoming so apparent now, as time goes by. Good I think he has Elsa, who really is trying. It will be even better when there are more kitties here too. THX on the pics - it was rlly ncie. We will go back there again. Will do at the pool!
Auntie Amy! REALLY??? You likes my concoctions too? SWEET! Mannie was right - you guys are all so cool. He loved being a barista. I can see why. it is mega FUN ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Morning Michelle and oh boy, lots of kudos to Elsa Lil bit kitteh Barista for the 10 Hour Energy coffee and Double Fudge Irish Cream coffee. She has me hooked on ice cream now, and I remember seeing Ben & Jerry's ice cream on sale somewhere.
Wow, that hamburger looks like our In'n'Out burgers here. Beautiful pics of your adventure yesterday and such nice greenery. I don't see much of that here, and it always looks so plush in the pics. Oh so bittersweet with Nicholas and Mannie. Iy's good he talks about Mannie, as Mannie was a big part of his life from the time of a baby.
Have a great day, Michelle and Nicholas. :-D

Good afternoon everyone! Nicholas and I have just returned from another fun day in the pool. The energizer FISH was hard at it again. There is just no rest for us old folks.  We spent alot of time tray in the bigger pool - kick boards were the toy of choice today. It was fun to watch him figure out how to use them, and then make his way back and forth across the pool. I had to laugh the first time he flipped over, thinking he'd lost his grip. NOPE! He did it on purpose do he could roll in the water.  Silly boy. That was fun - he just kept doing it over and over. We walked the trail outside of the pool after his lunch, and had a great time exploring the very small creek there. They ave a few old 4' high stumps that he had a blast jumping off of. Bear went with him, too.  All i all, a great morning. He's sound asleep - napping at the moment.... breather time for grammie!

HI Ann ~O) ~O) ~O) oh HAHA on Elsa, out new resident KB. Well... she loves ice cream! Puts it in and on everything.  Yep - I remember In and Out burgers. They are good! We don't have them up here, wish we did. It has been ages since I have been able to have one. This was Red Robin: their 5 alarm burger: covered with fresh jalapenos,. And yes, it was close to a five alarm. Sometimes I think we are very lucky here in that all is so green all the time. When spring rolls arounf it is as you say: everything just becomes plush, vibrant. So agreed on Mannie. It is bittersweet, but I am glad that he cans till remember him. That is very nice!

Hi Kat ~O) ~O) ~O) Thanks for the visit, and how cool on Gobbles trial. Exciting! Many thanks on Nicholas - we do have a BLAST together. What fun he is!
