Good morning LL!!
(Thanks to Elsa for making the best DGS fuel ever!), and Happy Furday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, recently graduated from barista school! I am a barista! YAY! So.... I Elsa, kitteh barista proudly offer Mannie's patented 10 hour energy
and my very own, Double fudge irish cream minty mocha, smothered in chocolate whip and mint drizzle. And ICE CREAM! underneath all that is a dollop of chocolate mint fudge ice cream. Dang good huh! As Mannie would always say: PRIMO!, and only the best for my customers. You are my customers, right? ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista
Happy Days everyone! Nicholas and I had a great day out on the trials yesterday. We went to Cougar Mountain, and visited a falls that is near the base of the trail system there. It was a new route for us, and proved to be a very good one for Nicholas. We have been to Coal Creek before, but that access is now closed due to road work, and the development of a new trail system for the creek that will run under the road, connecting bother section of the creek. (YAY!) He got to see some very pretty falls, and also play in the creek that runs adjacent to the falls. Lots of river wading and rock throwing and stick tossing and trail climbing. We had lunch at the falls. He was so funny: had to have his lunch by the falls, insistent! So there he sat, perched on this big log under a great tree canopy. It was almost picture perfect. Maybe that is why he picked it. What a great time. We took his mom out to lunch after that, to Red Robin, where he proceeded to pig-out on his favorite food: french fries.
YUM! Here's the Picassa photo and video links: Lunch with Mom and North Fork Falls, Coal Creek
Nicholas was in Mannie mode yesterday - searching for him everywhere, a couple of times. Always with the "I want Man-NIE!" ;-) It's hard to explain all about Mannie to him, so we try an keep it simple. He was sad for a while when he couldn't find his buddy, but seemed to understand that Mannie was gone. He played a little with Elsa instead, who is beginning to warm up to him a bit. No one will ever replace Mannie though, that is becoming apparent. He seems to resolve it all for himself with the knowledge that Mannie is happy. Yes little man, that he is. He misses you too.
Have a great day everyone! I am on DGS today too. Today is a swim day. I am so looking forward to that. We both LOVE the pool!!
If there is any time I hope to swing by the shelter with Nicholas. I hope it would be fun for him: something different, and well it would be good to see how the kitties react to him. ;-) I will try and get to condos when I can.
Kitties! Remember.... THINK BLUE! THINK GREEN!
