That's my boy! Boing as usual...but he did have 4 straight cycles that were beautiful and now his liver wants some attention. Smack that down Shadow and get back to some nice numbers again. Remember what Monique said about RBC...it's a noisy horrible place so come on back to where you belong!! Finished his breffis and polished Raja's dish too. He is now talking to himself and grooming.

Last night, I let him out with his sister onto the terrace. He scouted out the perimeter ~ all the spaces he used to sneak through in order to escape. They were all barricaded with chicken wire. Foiled again! When I went back out, the two of them were standing by the new, higher fence ~staring at it....as if she had brought him over to it to survey the problem. I brought him back inside before he tried something stupid. She is pretending to not care about the higher fence, but I know she is seething inside. Plotting and planning a way to outsmart me. She cried to go out there right after she ate this morning.... she seems to love the lot Florida weather outside.

:?: Does anyone know why she would be whipping her tail around so much all of a sudden? Is it a sign of worms or something that I should be concerned with? She is really feisty lately...noticeably a different attitude. She is pouncing across DH's lap at night which she has never, ever done in the past. (her aim is excellent too if you know what I mean) :lol: She is very vocal and extremely affectionate. Her tail whips back and forth as if to say "I AM HERE and ain't I just GREAT" !!! I am not complaining but it is just so different and I don't want to just ignore it if the tail whipping is a symptom of something.. She acts super fine in every way....is she just very happy and feeling very good? Not that I am a doting Mama or anything.... :lol: I will google it too to see if there is anything to be concerned about....

I did read something once about what certain movements of the tail could mean, but it was all related to attitude and not to any "conditions". Spooky has changed a great deal from the time before he got sick. All through treatment he was changing his personality and even more so now. He was very anti-social before his diagnosis, didn't meow, didn't like attention etc. He was a loner and kept to himself. Now he cries and talks alot, he is always near me in some way. He is much more people oriented and has more personality. I don't know why. Socks has always been a tail twitcher usually it means "Achtung, jetzt los!"

Shadowwwwwwwwww come back down here! Look at all this pretty green down here dude! We all miss you lots, you've gotta get those numbers down so you can come hang out here with us. Seriously man, the girls over here.... :shock: It's a whole lot nicer here than it is in RBC! Get out of there, that place is scary and not a good neighborhood. Really.

Shadow just wanted to have a day with less poking, so he thought he'd better throw a higher number.

I don't know about the tail whipping. If it's a sudden change, it probably means something. I had a cat whose tail always whipped like that, her whole life. People left her alone because they thought she was mad (hmm, maybe she did that on purpose!).

Hey Shad-0! You did indeed beat me at the game this morning, but I'm in blue now. Are you there yet? I hear that the new fence is a pain in the you-know-what. Your beans are concerned about you and Raja, but they don't know how important it is to get OUT! At least you're not cooped up in the house. You and Raja will figure something out. Just put your heads together! (Once I jumped 4 feet up in the air to a window ledge in the cellar, pushed out the screen, and went out to watch the birds at close range. My beans didn't even know I was gone until the birds tipped them off!)
So let's play our game again tomorrow, OK? We'll see if we can start the day in yellow. Lowest AMPS wins!

Hi Pat, I agree with Lisa that tail whipping is a sign of agitation. Perhaps it's the fence!!!

Oh Shadow...pink is so last year. Really, it is. Haven't you heard everyone talking about being green? Green is the new pink.

About the tail twitching...my guess is 100% pure attitude. A taste of the outdoors does it for one of mine every time...and that tail keeps on twitching when he can't get back out.
 
Thanks for your input about the tail. It is new, but she seems totally fine and even more affectionate than ever. She does like to got out and spends hours and hours out on the terrace. DH was being the Great Dad this morning and announced that he let Shadow go out on the terrace too. :roll: After all, HE made the new higher and improved fence, right? And HE made the decision about Shadow on his own. I said nothing. That is, until I saw Shadow on the outside of the fence and then I said..."Can you go get Shadow now please...he escaped"
Being a suspicious Mama Bean, I moved the large chair away from the fence when I put Shadow out there yesterday. The Dad did not think to do that today. We're gonna need a bigger fence.... ROTFLMHO

Not a really great day,k but he is out of the pinks so I am relieved about that much. Libby was right...he wanted a break from the ear pokes and he got that for sure!
