LL! It's is I, Elsa, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Bug and Lola are exhausted from I dunno! but they still want to be working today too at PawPrints Pizza, so..... They have decided that today is TURN-AROUND TRIPLE CATURDAY! They are doing triples on everything! :joyful: Kinda cool huh! They say that they wants to give all kitties some fun times today, triple funs! What will that be.... I dunno! so. well. anyways. :coffee::coffee::coffee: Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot Breve's, with beans from high in the Brazilian Mountains.... and for my mocha fans: a VENTI Quad Blueberry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, swirled with a raspberry puree, topped with a strawberry infused whip garnished with caramelized berry sprinkles and white chocolate curls and a caramel drizzle.......SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of 4 berry and vanilla and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with caramel and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good!

I hope everyone has had a great week. We have been.... well, busy again! :woot: I just can't imagine not being on the go. :) It keeps us out of trouble, and makes for great times! I often think back on the weeks happenings, and wonder how in the world did we do all that! :woot: o_O:joyful: It was the same this past week. It has been a good week. Scheduling returned to normal this week, as the other grandparents wrapped up their vacation the week before. I was busy with Nicholas ad William W-FR, with an additional swim time for Nicholas on Monday. It is nice to have normal back again. Life is indeed good. :joyful::woot::cool:

It has been a week in the pool! :woot::joyful::) It has just become the norm for us, we go each week, and just never tire of it. It proves to be such fun for both boys, and their excitement with it all has not wavered. :):joyful::cool: Nicholas's swim classes continue, on Monday and Wednesday. Wednesday was his last class in this session, and next week he starts a new one, new level, new pool location in the complex. I hope he embraces is new class, as he can sometimes have stage fright when faced with new things. We did hear that one of the boys in his class also moved up a level, so that should help with this transition. He did well in this class, learned new things well and fast. He has discovered that lessons actually are fun, and he can't wait to get started each lesson. AWESOME! :joyful::joyful::joyful: Way to go Nicholas! Outside of class he still is our little energizer fishie, loves swimming in the big pool, and will often forgo the beach area play for the 6 and unders. He'd rather be in deep water. ;) He is so happy to have his Friday night swims back at the Snohomish pool. Me too for that matter! :joyful: William is also doing extremely well. He likes to float, and will do so, on his tummy in the shallow beach area. TH he was scooting along the bottom, floating on his tummy, using arms and legs to move about. How fun! Lessons ought to go well for him too. He still has to be 3 to take them so another year of me doing what I can to get him ready for them, and let him discover on his own how fun water and pools can be. He too just loves it, never tries of it, so off we go. Our Swim days this week were Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Night. WHOA.... that is alot of pool time. Crazy, but I am grateful to have the opportunity to be able to take them.
GO NICHOLAS! GO WILLIAM !!

William, groovin' down under!

We still do the Friday Night Burger Feast. Nicholas just loves that whole experience, so no way will we not continue the tradition. Quite the feast he has: Cheeseburgers with extra pickles, fried with ketchup ranch and tartar sauce, assorted berries, milkshakes, and chocolate cupcakes. After all the spent energy he is one hungry little boy. And yes, he does eat it all. :woot::)

The week was busy.... three days of adventure after adventure. I was grateful, in a way, that it was only a three day week with the boys. Weather was somewhat iffy this week, so we had a combination of activities depending on what teh skies gave us. We were off to the Imagine Childrens Museum, Bothell Landing Park, and the town of Skykomish. Wednesday, after Nicholas's swim, we were also able to spend some time with the boys Grammie Connie. I am so grateful to her for helping me with William when Nicholas needs to be in the pool. She is a god-send. Boys love it there too. It has been a few weeks since we have been to the Imagine Museum. What a welcome treat for the boys. They do a great job there with fun filled learning activities for the kids. It is nice too that it is close, and gives us a good place to go outside and away from Seattle, and the never ending traffic issues there. The Bothell duckies need us ;) so we took a chance on weather and went to the park there on TH. So many duckies!!! Boys had a blast, visiting the river as well. TH night they both were at a Mariners baseball game with mom and dad, late night for them (!!) so by the time I got them on FR they were already tired. LOL. We made it a low key day, took a road trip to a small town called Skykomish. Trains run right through the middle of this very small town, so we went to watch them, ad spend some time on the river. Both of them slept the whole 2 hour trip home. ;) it truly was a great week!

For my own personal time, I continue to hike the local trails here when I can. I still haven't made that mountain hike, but all in good time on that one. ;) I know, I write this every week.... but SOON! I have read that the higher mountain roads are all now open, so no more excuses! Right no I am focusing on Eastern Washington, before it gets blazing hot over there... like 95-110 HOT. I also made a few treks to the old favorite Meadowdale on Saturday, and Tuesday, and some local neighborhood walks. Tuesday morning I was able to have breakfast with my son Anthony, alwyas a treat there. I did not hike out of the local this week though, as I had some matters at home that I needed to tend too. You know... those things we kept putting off. Besides... my hike was was wet and raining.:rolleyes: back at the hikes this week, for sure. I hope too that everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. Our was great, a day spent with family. AWESOME time!

Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! :cat::cat::cat: I wrote most of this last week, but all is still true.... The kitties are doing well. There really isn't much new to write about. Elsa is still holding her own, Bug is still being my cute affectionate Mannie look alike. Lola is still... well, Lola. Still my wild and crazy girl. With the arrival of spring weather she has been in the "LET ME OUT!" mode.:eek::eek::eek: This continues this past week too, she is relentless, and getting good: darts out that door faster than a speeding bullet. :arghh::eek::nailbiting:o_O Crazy cat. So.... we are back to thinking about how we can feasibly build something that will let her get out but still confine her to the yard. If only she would stay in her yard..... NOPE! Hooray for kitty treats, which she can resist. :) I continue to worry about Elsa. Weight is an issue, She had lost a little more... She seems to feel well however, is very active for her age (19 come 8/1), eats when she wants, just not much. She seems happy, feeling OK, so maybe I just worry too much about her. She is back to sleeping with my at night,we share the pillow. I don't complain, as I will miss it when she is no longer there, whenever that may be. Lola has decided that sleeping under the bed covers at night is cool, so a few times a week she will come and do that, curls up next to my stomach. It is funny how she is so calm when she does, not the wild and crazy kitty she otherwise can be. ;) Other than that, Normalcy in Three MusketeerVille! :cat::cat::cat:

Have a great Caturday everyone. Time for me to go relax some.... :) a local trail hike is in order! We have a dinner set tonight to celebrate family birthdays mine and my son Anthony, which was this past TH. Should be fun! Enchiladas ad fajitas are on the menu. YUM!

KITTIES!! Remember: BLUE, think GREEN :cat:

It's great Nicholas is still enjoying the swim lessons so much. I hope he will enjoy the next level too. I bet William will enjoy swim class when he gets old enough. I'm glad you've been able to get out for some local hikes. The pictures are beautiful as always. It's good to hear the kitties are all doing well.

Happy birthday to you and Anthony.

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope your weekend continues to be a good one. We had an excellent time last night celebrating Anthony's Birthday, and mine too. Dinner prep was alot of work, the end result was really GOOD! Pat me on the back, LOL. :joyful: I guess all my lessons from LL Head Chef Mannie paid off. :) We had chicken and beef enchiladas, and fajitas, a mexican style rice, with frijoles made with back beans, and a southwestern style chop salad. YUM YUM YUM NON and bring on the Mannie fuds dance! Dessert was, by Antony's request, a stray berry bar cake which was really great! and A German Chocolate Cake, my request, which was equally as good. It was a long night for all of us, but fun times too! Lola was the life of the party, just being Miss Social Kitty, and a little crazy too. She decided early on that all the presents were hers and climbed in all the bags and chewed on all of the boxes. Bug was social too, but on a much more mellow level, so so like Mannie. He was our ap sitter tlast night. it is great to see him doing that. Even Elsa made the party, a rarity for her to do that. She mingled some too. GO ELSA!

Nicholas: One happy kiddo!

William: Open WIDE little bird!

I went on an early morning walk today, just to get myself motivated and clear the little sleep cobwebs. It seems to have worked! The neighborhood was so so quiet this morning. Even the birds were sleeping. ;) I walked up to the local Starbucks, treated myself to a white mocha, and walked back home, touring the neighborhood. Had an excellent time! it is cool this mornig and very overcast, but I read sun is due mid afternoon. Sure hope so! I may have to make a trip to the beach through the local Meadowdale woods if that happens.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend L&LL! Elsa, Lola and Bug say they are. Once they finish napping that is.... :woot:

@Tiger and Ruth Morning Ruth :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX, we had a great birthday, and good dinner! Lola was all over that bag. We had to haul her out of it several times. She just loves bags and boxes and wrapping paper. Isn't the Imagine children's Museum a great place? The boys love it there. It is one of our rainy day places to go. We are all so glad on Nicholas's swim lessons. He really is having fun with it, and earning too. Yupp on William: no more baby, a little boy now.

@carfurby Morning Carla :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX, we did have a good time. none of us were surprised at Lola's antics either. it was so true to her nature: into everything!:cool::)

Hi Michelle, Happy Belated Birthday to you and Anthony! Your birthday party sounded great. What a wonderful menu! Chef Rusty made some notes!
Another busy week; more swims; more hikes; lots of great pictures. By now Nicholas will have had his first class in the new pool. I'm sure he did very well. He's a natural. Love those underwater pics of Nicholas and William!

Elsa, Kitteh Barista: I'm game to try the cherry espresso, but I really am looking forward to the Ethiopian!

Have a good week, Michelle. Now that you have a few more days to yourself (?) maybe you can get in that hike in Eastern Washington.

Hugs and scritches,

Ella & Rusty

p.s. check out the pic I posted of the stream from Pink Pond to Little Pink Pond in Rusty's Yesterday condo. It was fantastically beautiful there.

@Ella & Rusty & Stu(GA) Morning Ella :coffee::coffee::coffee: THX on the birthday stuff, we had such a nice day! Good food too! :) on Rusty! Nicholas had his first new class yesterday, and he liked it very much. He was a little timid at first, but did get with it and had such a good time. He did very well too. Many THX on the pics. I hope on the E Wa hike. I would ahem gone today but have a service appt for the car, so we will find a local hike somewhere nearby, for after the appt, which in theory should be a short one. maybe to the Big Four Ice caves.
I will look for your photo!
Auntie Ella! COOL! I will bring both! See ya in a few! ~~Elsa, kitteh barista

Love all of this. Happy happy birthday to both of you. What fun and the food sounded AMAZING! Always so much going on with you. It is great to hear that Nicholas is having so much fun in lessons. What a natural he is. Have a great week Michelle!

@Melissa & Tarragon hi Melissa :):coffee: Many THX! It was a good time, and I thought the food came out well too. It took so long to put together that I really hoped it was good. Since I had no leftovers, I guess it was. :joyful: It is wodnerful with Nicholas and his lessons. Such a cool ting since he was so "no way" on them for such a long time. He will be one awesome swimmer if he sticks with it. Busy RULES!

Happy Belated Birthday Michelle - and to Anthony too. Cool that you get to celebrate together. I suddenly have a craving for cake - they looked mega good.

Awesome weather we are having. No wonder Lola wants out. I was thinking of you when I was reading the local SPCA magazine. There was an article about cat enrichment and outdoor enclosures. Here are some pictures by a company called Catscape. Maybe there are some ideas there for you.

I was also thinking of you and Friday Burger night this weekend. My local burger place has changed pickle suppliers and no longer so good. :(

@Wendy&Neko Hi Wendy :):coffee: Those cakes were really good. I wish I could say that I made them... but no. The strawberry one was really the best! LOVE out weather! And BIG YES on Lola. THX so much for the link! I looked at a few, bookmarked the page, as they have such good ideas. I really need to so something for her. WHAT? No good pickles?!?!?!?!?!? What a bummer. I ahte it when companies ess with what is a good product. well, maybe they will get enough comments that they will go back to the one they had. Paws crossed!
